So like cactus. San pedro. If someone calls the cops on you for whatever and I don't know what they were looking for but they find cactus and they confiscate and drag you to court and yell at you and you hire a lawyer and are proven innocent and everything is ok so my question is like are you reimbursed for legal expenses and time? I just have little understanding of the subject.

All it takes is a whisper

As far as I know all your legal costs are your responsibility, whether you are innocent or not, or at least it is where I am from. In the states you could probably sue to get your legal costs back because it sounds like you can sue for anything there.

Yes, my understanding of the law is that you are not owed retribution if you need to defend yourself against charges which you are found innocent on. That being said, if you were charged for something as unlikely, and hard to define or prove, as this, then I would spend minimal money on defense. I would actually defend myself. And then you could counter sue them for.... I don't know what the actual legal name is... once it is over. You would be suing the prosecutor/DA's office/ police dept.

This is very unlikely though if you have any amount of sense in your life, who you choose to associate with etc.

Quick answer- nope. Sorry, but justice ain't free in the land of the imprisoned and home of the scared.
