Looks like western science is coming to the a similar conclusion to that of other cultures that have a history of psychedelic use. Unfortunately western law is stuck and has a lot of catching up to do. Hopefully the situation is only temporary and lawmakers start catching up. Mostly it has been the people at the voting booth or at the city council level helping improve the situation.

Iny oppinion, the failure of law makers to act on this, highlights the dysfunction of our democracy. It seems to no longer be serving the people, and instead seems geared to preserving established institutions that grow around its antiquated laws and representing monetary interests.
