Hi,
Just read some post about pulling DMT freebase with Naphtha.
I have tried to pull DMT Freebase with cold(room temperature) Naphtha, I spend 30 minutes for each pull, but failed, there's no(or little) DMT Freebase in the final reduced Naphtha in freezer.
I did it again with hot Naphtha, and got DMT Freebase like snowflake in freezer.
As hot Naphtha will pull more impurity too, if I intend to get purer DMT with cold Naphtha, how long I should shake the container?
Thanks.

There is a temperature solubility correlation; this is what freeze precipitation utilises. Room temperature naphtha dissolves only a little DMT, and this will happen more slowly.

It's worth warming your naphtha to around 40 - 50°C (using a water bath, of course) to get effective pulls without pulling too many impurities. If you're getting "DMT Freebase like snowflake in freezer" it sounds like you're getting an acceptable level of purity and might as well proceed as you have been doing already. There's always the option of recrystallisation if you're concerned about impurities.

What volume of naphtha to what volume of plan material (I assume MHRB)?

It's possible that you just have too much solvent, and the alks aren't precipitating out. The volume of naphtha to root bark should be about 1ml:1g-- if you have much more than that, evaporate some of the naphtha and try again. The naphtha should start to cloud even set in the fridge.

Also the freezer should be as cold as possible- around -15c or 5f.

For other potential issues, check the FAQ: No Precipitation or Low Yeild

I agree. One time I tried pulling with room temp naptha and got considiberly less dmt. When I pull with naptha around 50° Celsius I end up with between 1-2% depending on the bark.
There is only this and now. What this is exists as one.

I get decent amount of DMT even with single pull with room temp naptha (Zippo Lighter Fluid), usually using about 10 ml solvent per pull per 50 g bark.

The resulting spice is snow white.

Subsequent pulls need heated naphtha however, I heat up to 40 °C, more pulls out oils and I found 4 pulls total seem to be enough. Spice from heated naphtha is yellowish and more powdery rather than crystalline. I sometimes get just a yellow-orange film instead of separate crystals.

Hi, how do you heat zippo fuel to 40° C
Doesn't zippo have a very low boiling point

While I am not sure as to the answer to your question here the SDS for zippo products can be found with option for choosing preferred language. Hope this helps you make appropriate determinations.

Maybe zippo brand butane does (if it exists) but you want the lighter fluid, not the lighter gas.

Have a look through the Forum and see if you can find the answer to your question. It's something that gets covered about once a month or so. Strangely, this particular question isn't addressed in the FAQ but maybe it is somewhere else in the wiki?
