Greetings humanoids,

I have read the disclaimer and searched for any information regarding these two medications and their reaction with caapi infused changa (10x). My friend has asthma and would like to try a special blend I just made, though I want to make sure it's safe to do so. I noticed that these medications are on the list of meds that may have mild side effects if used in combination with MAOI's; however, it also states that some of the medications can produce more severe effects.

Anyone have any idea or experience?

Peace and Love

Isn't the half life of albuterol really short? I don't know for sure, my intuition just tells me that, I've used it for years. I can't speak to combining with an maoi or rima though, sorry. It can raise my heartbeat directly after an inhalation, so your concern is a valid consideration. You're a good carrier of the other kind of medicine. Thumbs up

Perhaps if you use mullein for changa, your buddy can use it for its anti asthma qualities for a day or two (unspiced) whatever the roa for it is - tea, methinks - if it's effective enough for them. I'd look into the duration of blood stream levels or however they put it, that may point you in the right track.

thanks!

I'm more concerned with the Singulair because he uses that every day. The inhaler is primarily for attacks so he wouldn't be using it day of ceremony. He's experienced as well and I actually made this blend specifically for him, only to realize that he is on these meds! Embarrased I'm thinking in the future I will make him a blend without the Harmalas if this doesn't work out but I just wantEd to share the experience with him in its entirety.

There are no adverse effects listed in the BNF or the product monograph relating to RIMA use with Singulair; use of RIMAs with albuterol may lead to an exaggeration of the effect on heart rate but is not regarded as an absolute contra-indication.
I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.
