Okay, the cop has a heart, but the loss prevention guy at Walmart should be made to walk a few miles in that woman's shoes. Doing well by his corporate masters. Perhaps they gave him a pet and a treat. Decent cop though, i always knew there was one somewhere outside of Mr Rogers neighborhood.

So, what do the other 2000 homeless families in that town do? That's great for the one who got anti-busted, but while it warms a heart that one person took sympathy on one other person and they got help thereby, there are so many starving, homeless men women and children in this country- it is an abomination that doesn't need to be. Where is their kick starter campaign?

My city has been so gutted by greed driven developers and so many people have been displaced because of it that a literal state of emergency has been called. Nothing will get done, but at least they are yelling about it. More people were apparently evicted this summer without cause than in any other quarter in this major cities history.

There is no reason anyone in Amerikkka should be without shelter food or clothing. Period. I don't care how much of a capitalist one is, that should be the platform of equality we all work from.

Last summer I'm walking out to the woods and pass a construction site where there cutting down woods to build houses; they just finished building a bunch across the street. Theres empty houses galore down at the beach already that were built atleast a decade ago. I get out to the woods I ussually walk in and theres signs ssaying "Do not enter, stick to designated path" ( one single path under the high T electrical wires. Naturally I disregard that but what the hell is going on?

Theyre also building all these plazas when we have plenty of stores already;more than we need. The whole ocean front is pretty much bought out by this guy that made all his money selling coke in the 80s...

We need to make some kind of change. Where to start?

Buy all the land. It's all for sale.

I heard the other day (take with salt) that there are individuals in this world with enough wealth to be able to literally end world hunger with a single donation. Good luck actually being able to actually do so though... Even if there were someone willing...Confused

Through my years of experiencing homelessness, I've wracked my brain for a realistic solution, either in the private or public sector or both and have failed. There are as many problems as there are individuals on the street. Privatization, buying properties, temporary housing and sweat equity are the only concepts I've been able to come up with. Anyone want to help me start a kickstarter to end the homeless crisis in central Cascadia?

As for a solution to the endless development and gentrification of urban and suburban areas...Crying or very sad They are printing all kinds of stories in every outlet here from the Street Roots paper to the city paper about this 'housing crisis' the city is undergoing. There's nothing that's not for sale here anymore. Interestingly enough, the 'independent' weeklies, the hip papers that have a little news alongside celebrity gossip, comix and entertainment listings have been and are the major promoters of this city's ' liveability'. Damn that you'd be lucky to find a minimum wage job and a studio in a crack hole for a little less than a grand a month, come one, come all to Hiplandia. My city has been marketed and those that are saddened by it are literally pilloried in the weeklies as being crybabies, or being victims of that wonderful catch phrase of the sociopath- being 'butthurt'. Mad

I hate mustaches.

ya i cant stand when people say buthurt. Makes ole sprac wanna make a face hurt and i will end that at that.

Ahem. The game of capitalism seems to be coming to a conclusion. I guess the only thing left to do is love and help make change where you can. The damage has been done so to speak. Gotta refrain from making a face hurt as thats a bit worse than being buthurt. Ignorance will see through itself, it always does.

Im a bit foggyheaded so im not sure how much sense this makes but ill make sprac at it. Love
