Hi,

In rare cases people get addicted to ketamine (its rare, but it happens), here's the question, I ask,

could a certain combination of psychedelics and other plants be combined to help treat the addict? (whatever the drug is)

any ideas, ?

Ketamine addiction is not rare... I have seen plenty of people get addicted.

Iboga, Ayahuasca, San Pedro, mushrooms, salvia ect - all good for healing addiction on their own. No need to combine them. Most effective rehab center in the world is a Ayahuasca rehab in Peru: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/crossing_continents/3243277.stm

The plants work best when used alongside other therapy - they arent magical cures that do all the work for you, and real treatment with lasting results often takes a couple months (just like other rehabs).

I had a physically/emotionally/mentally damaging Ketamine addiction more than 3 years ago now. I wouldn't be here today without the help I got from DMT and the other plant medicines. They helped me get to a great place mentally, and slowly heal the body from the damages of Ketamine.

Most Ketamine addicts do not quit,[they end up seesawing between opiates and K] scarey but true.

With psychedelics, great healing is possible.

In some ways[mentally, awareness, lack of seeking] I feel better than I did before I abused Ketamine. The physical damages take longer to heal than the mental/emotional and thats where most of my learning/struggle has been. The psychs helped me recover mentally rather quickly but healing the bladder issues takes a holistic approach of herbs, body work, psychs, stress reduction, and many more methods. I have been working on a guide for former Ketamine addicts for a few months now.

If you private message me your exact situation with the Ketamine I can respond with anything/everything I learned in the last 3 years healing myself.

Blessings and Healing upon thee
In the province of the mind what one believes to be true, either is true or becomes true within certain limits. These limits are to be found experimentally and experientially. When so found these limits turn out to be further beliefs to be transcended. In the province of the mind there are no limits. However, in the province of the body there are definite limits not to be transcended.-J.C. Lilly

As far as I know, there is no significant physical addiction with ketamine so all the classic psychedelics like mescaline, psilocybin, DMT, LSD etc might be useful for a person who is psychologically addicted to ketamine if this is the goal going in. Overall, ketamine is a very safe drug but some people do seem to abuse it.

^hi jamie hope you're well..

i feel the need to add a little on Ketamine, from the best of my knowledge:

it can be highly addictive..John Lilly battled with heavy Ketamine addiction for years..it was a real problem for an otherwise brilliant man:

http://www.bluelight.org.../index.php/t-397615.html

also, in 1996 the talented researcher known as D.M.Turner died while on ketamine in his bathtub..in his book The Complete Psychedelic Guide he wrote of his struggle with ketamine addiction and the k-entity, and how DMT and plant based teachers had showed him the dangers and warned him to stay away from it..unfortunately he succame again..

now, while ketamine is said to have relatively low toxicity, there seems to be a body of anecdotal evidence and reports of potential dangers associated with it..but certainly plant teachers also have their dangers too..

so, i don't draw any definitive conclusion (and i have little experience as i personally don't take to it..it's not an ally) but i felt that something needed to be noted here..
