Last 3 years i always looking forward to go to sleep, because of this stuff, I have no idea why it happens so much. When i go to bed, close my eyes, my imagination start to run, thinking about stuff, and when i think about it, i create the image behind my eyes, i see patterns, faces, constructs, whatever really, mandalas turning into some kind of tunnel i can warp inside, everything very blurry tho, but sometimes it get's strong, like i can see the outline of everything pretty good, it's seems like i need to focus correctly to get is stronger, and light is flashing so intense sometimes i need to open my eyes and see if someone turn on the light Laughing It's so amazing, i can do it anywhere as long as it's dark it seems. It's mostly blue ish dark with some white contrasts, I think, that i'm looking into my thoughts and painting them on the back of my eyes lids, (the canvas).

Any one else experiencing this, if so, do you have any idea why this happens?

And one more thing, when i focus very hard, when it really works is when i let go of my thoughts and consciousness, then i feels like I'm getting dragged into this fantasy, but it's so astonishing that i ruin it with getting super aware that this is happening..it's so weird. It also happened when i was little, was so fascinated by it and tried to explain it to people..funny

Very familiar. I mostly see image depending on what I've seen before going to sleep. If I have seen cartoon for example, my mind creates new cartoons in the same style as the cartoons I've seen.

For a while now, I also hear music sometimes. And like you, when I start to become too conscious of it, it stops.Smile

Interesting to read of somebody with similar experiences. Though your experiences seem a little more exciting Embarrased

Why I believe it happens. For me atleast, it simply seems like a way to cope with increased mental activity, like it needs to be filled up with something.

The funny thing is; if I do dmt, but I don't breakthrough. I have the same type of visuals that don't seem to have any truth to them (like the visuals on dmt). It's like my mind needs to focus on something else, so that the visuals that I see during a breakthrough don't come to me. Like I'm not supposed to see them in a non-breakthrough state.

I experience cev most nights before I fall asleep, however it's due to cannabis.
It's mainly flashing and moving lights/lines, not really objects but sometimes they morph into what sometimes looks like recognizable objects.
But I do only get cev from cannabis at night, and only if it's really strong or I smoke heaps.
I'm a daily user with a heavy tolerance, so heaps to me is probably 3-4 grams in 2 hours.
Sorry for getting off topic. Haha Embarrased

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

I can relate to this immensely! I've been noticing it over the past couple months. I do smoke cannabis before bed on a daily basis but never had any real CEVs from it. It feels more like an active imagination but much more in-depth, hard to describe. Painting behind the eyelids was a great way to put it. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one! Smile

Yeah, for me, as im lying there, sinking deeper and deeper into the pre-dream faces/tunnels/scenes/sounds, sometimes I will get very close in going into whatever is being presented at random in that moment behind my eyelids. You're right though - if I actively direct my attention with some inkling of effort to whatever is going on at that moment - I snap out of it and am back to square one, until the peoples/places/scenes/sound all build back up.

I think if you can narrow in on something before that very moment of sleep, that you could dream about whatever it is that's being thrown together in that moment; but it's funny, because ime if you become 'too active' in your participation/awareness ...then it all seems to fade back. It's a fine line to walk.

Ime it's like I can softly conjure up ideas/places/people/things in that pre-state through some 'soft thinking', but if I fully engage and bring my attention/awareness to it ..it's lost. This parallels deep states of meditation for me. It's so fascinating. I know sometimes - things don't go as planned and I enter this 1-2 second state where there's the loudest sound imaginable - can't even really describe it; something akin to a jet mixed with lightning mixed with just pure noise. It's typically so startling that I snap out immediately and fling up in bed.
