I exist as I am, that is enough.

So, its been a little over a year since I've been on here and I am back cruising the forums and I thought I would give an update/experience report on my last DMT experiences. After having my first couple positive experiences with DMT, with both the extraction and the subsequent trips, I had a couple of powerful trips that scared me so I put down the DMT. Actually, I dumped my extraction and gave what I had to my friends and let them try it.

In those more intense trips, I lost my body and was seeing what looked like a purple and grey room with shapes and moving patterns all over, wall lines and angles which didn't make sense, and which would shift like a rubiks cube or flip like a page as I would turn my head (all CEV). One room was dominated by a pyramid with a corner facing me but along the edge it was an anthropomorphic figure. A human body sort of half male and half female but with a head that was shape shifting, evolving actually, through animal species. Once it looked like a crocodile and once like a fish, always changing. There seems to be things lurking in my peripheral "vision" but when I turn its always just a new room with amazing shapes and infinite patterns. I had a death experience and then saw glimpses of the universe in motion interspersed with scenes from my life. I was scared intensely by the death experience and the intensity of the trips, the out of body feeling, that I couldn't do it anymore.

So, I found out that DMT is awesome but not really for me... maybe some aya would be better though, idk. But, nowadays I have been looking at cacti. I even recently got a couple trichocerous cuttings and some seed. I'm hoping to have some tea soon.

Good to hear that you know your limits. DMT is a self regulating drug in my opinion. I can relate to the fear you experienced. It can be so intense. It can seem super-real. Difficult journeys can take some time to integrate. High dose experiences of DMT are very intense. Maybe you smoke a bit over your threshold. Did you measure out your doses? Perhaps the addition of harmalas will provide a more positive experience.

Not every trip is guaranteed to be sunshine and rainbows. The best we can do is provide ourselves with the best environment. That means being in a good place in your mind before setting out on your journey.

Take some time to integrate your difficult trip and look for the lesson. Look to destroy your fear. Death is something that will happen to us all. If death is what scares you then look at it. Look at it right in the face. Challenge your fears. IME the fear will fade and be replaced with a new outlook and understanding of what caused the fear. Replaced with knowledge of self and acceptance of the fact that we will all die someday. To be ok with non-existence is not to let go of life but to accept that is a process of life. Natural and ok.

DMT or no DMT... I admire that you say "Nope, I've had enough!".

Thumbs up

DMT always scares and amazes me. I usually only smoke changa once every two months or so, I always need some time to think about all the things that were shown to me.

I do however recommend you try Ayahuasca. It's way less intense, I only started getting visuals on my third Ayahuasca trip and they were much milder than pure DMT. It's also more meaningful to me, Aya showed me things I don't think I'd see in any other approach, and also works really good in cleaning our body. Instead of 2 minutes, it'll give you a good two or three hours navigating through your mind Smile

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

I admire the fact that you know when enough is enough! DMT is not for everyone, of course! But to each their own...Smile

I would highly recommend cacti (you mentioned thinking about it). I first extracted mescaline from San Pedro before ever even thinking about DMT (actually I made the tea first, then extracted after experiencing the taste). Check out 69ron's food safe mescaline extraction using D-limonene and vinegar! Or go for the tea! Whatever floats your boat but the tea is GROSS!

Mescaline is a much gentler psychedelic when compared to some others. Don't get me wrong though, high doses can melt the world and put you in some very interesting places! I've done moderate doses of Mescaline at the most and had a great time. Extremely euphoric (almost MDMA like) and some unique colors and patterns which are a signature to Mescaline. Plus, it lasts a lllooonnnggg time.

My mescaline trips have been anywhere from 8-15 hours depending on dose and some of those hours are comedown/afterglow but it is always worth it. Sleep is sometimes hard to achieve after mescaline but if you have some decent bud on hand this can easily be remedied!

If DMT is not your cup of tea then maybe Mescaline tea will be! Yay for rhymes!

Best of luck!

I notice some people really benefit from doing some dedicated work with cactus before getting into DMT or Ayahuasca. While DMT and Ayahuasca would take you out of your body into the spirit world, I feel like cactus brings spirit into your body so you can see your life through the eyes of Spirit. Both are excellent and different ways of teaching, but you sometimes need the right medicine for where you are in life.

Sometimes you really need to ground your consciousness in your own body and in this world really well with cactus before you are ready to travel in the spirit world. You may also just find that you prefer cactus (my favorite medicine BTW).

I am overgeneralizing BTW - Ayahuasca can certainly ground you, and sometimes cactus will take you into the spirit world, but usually I think things follow the over-generalization I mentioned above.

For me though, Ayahuasca has always been way more intense then DMT... I have heard a few people say DMT is more intense, but for me it has always been the other way around.....
