Hi I need some help with the dmt manual a/b tek.
I went by the book for most of the tek but couldn't find lye anywhere so I had to use potassium carbonate because someone suggested it could still work with an a/b extract tek. Turns out that I didn't immediately use the naphta on the base and let it cool overnight instead so I tried adding some naphta te next day but it's just a black sludge. Do you think it's fixable with more base and reheating it? Would it turn back into a useable liquid? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Is the naptha mixed in with this black sludge?
Sounds like you have an emulsion due to the pH not being high enough.
You could try adding and equal amount of warm water that has had 60g/liter of non iodized salt added to the sludge.
Maybe try doubling the amount of potassium carbonate.
Find some lye.
