Thanks in advance just for reading this complicated post.

I feel I should state this up front, as I believe many of you would be hesitant to suggest ideas without knowing I am very aware of possible consequences such as a hypertensive crisis issues (I carry Adalat XR 30mg w/ me everywhere) or serotonin syndrome complications.
I am being treated for refractory depression with an extremely high dose of Parnate (40mg Q.I.D.). Parnate at this level is the only antidepressant that has ever consistently worked for me (besides psychedelics). It stops the horror and allows me to function (to work and support myself) but I am very much without emotion and always in a dysthymic state. It is very much a sort of emotional and intellectual limbo. Psychedelics (and the dissociative Ketamine) such as LSD, Psilocybin, DMT and Mescaline simply "do not work" at any dose. Before Parnate these allies kept me alive, gave me hope, and temporarily re-engendered a sense of beauty and wonder in my heart. I was young when I used them though doing anything I could to get through the hours, and I never thought to rigorously apply them on a therapeutic basis (nor did i have the kind of access to them I have now), I even have a Dr. who would help/guide me in this method of therapy which we both believe should include ayahuasca and ibogaine.
The problem is that whenever I start to taper down the Parnate I fall into a depression and have to take a week or so off work to recover as I re-establish the higher dose. I was thinking about introducing Harmine as I lowered the Parnate but I do not know how to find equivalent doses. Does anyone have any insights or advice? Even speculation would be much appreciated. Why don't the psychedelics (and Ketamine) work? Do I need higher doses of these things?
Is there a method of administration of psychedelics I could use to get around whatever Parnate is doing to cause this unfortunate situation?

* THC still "works" but MJ makes me depressed the next day, at least all the strains I've tried so far...perhaps a high CBD strain?

** I have yet to smoke DMT with Parnate so I do not know what the result will be.
