Hey everyone, Went to my local ACE Hardware today out of curiosity. Found VM&P Naphtha for 7.99 and a pound of lye for 3.99 in store. Along with a 10% military discount, I see savings!🙌 But I was just curious if this is the right stuff? http://m.acehardware.com...x.jsp?productId=2845800
Much appreciated! Aweems attached the following image(s): image.jpg (1,517kb) downloaded 192 time(s)."You didn't ask for this, You didn't mean to.. It was all in the timing. This come to, this realization."

Yes, this is 100% sodium hydroxide. On another note, is it such a smart idea to show your military ID (or any ID) when purchasing lye and solvents together (for a 10% discount)? ACE is notorious for flagging such transactions. Risk / reward... Be safe. "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." -A.Huxley

For future reference Material safety data sheets are all over the internet. Try googling the brand name, product name, & msds of the chemicals you use. Read thru & make sure theres no rust inhibitors, other nasty chemicals, etc.
Maybe pick some stuff up at the hardware store one day, while your there take note of what kinds of naphtha & lye they have. Then research each kind for a while.
& as a1pha said, think about what your doing, don't buy lye & solvents at the same store. It's not hard to stay under the radar, but careless mistakes like that can & have proven to draw unwanted attention from law enforcement. Most hardware stores have something called a methwatch policy, when they see you buying what looks like the ingredients to make meth (& they train employees to watch for this), they are encouraged to report it to the authorities. It's even worse if a credit card is used. Then you have all kinds of evidence built against you in one place, your credit card statement.

Your both absolutely right.. And there's no way I'd use a card to purchase anything that could be traced for suspicious activity. Probably buy one item one day, then another with other random items another day. Or just resort to online resources, even then safety isn't garenteed. Personal opinion, you guys think eBay is safe? My suggestion is to take a day off and go to an ACE away from your home town. Pay cash. Dress professionally. Have a legit reason to purchase, e.g., clogged pipes for the lye and paint project for the home. Don't act sketchy. If they ask for ID, you left it at home. Whoops. Good luck. I would never ever buy lye and napatha together you might as well buy some lithium camera batteries some ammonium nitrate fertiliser and some cold and flue tablets as we'll for that cold while your there.
It doesn't matter if you have justified to yourself that you have a good reason for buying napatha and lye together it can be a red flag. Simple mistakes get people in trouble. The first consideration before even attempting any clandestine activity is minimise the risks at every step so you can't get caught. Not getting caught is up there with safety but I feel that maybe that gets forgotten here sometimes.
A friend on another site showed me a photo that had been uploaded to the site he did an image search and found the persons photo bucket account with photos of the guys family house pets ect.
The best way imo is to plan ahead. I always pay in cash, & buy items with the things they go with (naphtha when i'm painting already, lye when i'm picking up a snake for the drains, etc. ) over a period of months & when everything is all together, it is quickly used & put back in the correct place & all used items washed & put away. nothing suspicious (this also means don't store mhrb at the same house you extract in, leave somewhere safe, with no drug activity or extraction equipment & only extract small increments every so often) & people posting pictures that are easily identifiable seems to not be as common, but i occasionally see some bad ones. There was a member here who's avatar was a picture of his face with inverted colors. Not sure if he's still active but its one of if not THE worst case of someone attatching their real identity to illegal activity i've ever seen.

I do believe no illegal activity actually takes place here. Unless this person wrote that they did something illegal themselves AND that that was them in their avatar... But even then we are all energy so who knows? 01:13:08 ‹Ellis DEmpty› I met the people living in my head... I disturbed them while they were sitting down at the table.... They were as shocked as I was!

But even then we are all energy so who knows? There may not be any illegal activity going on here, but in the event one ends up under investigation for something & their computers, phone records, etc. are gone thru by the law, their picture (if it was really them) posted on a forum dedicated to dmt, coupled with possible pictures, discussion of extracting, looking for help fixing a botched extraction they admitted to here, showing solvents & equipment, etc. could be easily used as further evidence against them, not neccessarily leading to more charges, but as a tactic to further an already bad reputation in court. Maybe i'm just very paranoid & cautious, but i personally think that far ahead before any activities that may end me up in a situation where they could be used against me. you do make a good point though.
