REPORT

This was my first excursion into this little project that I'm calling "a dose a day." After my last tests of the GVG which took place on Veteran's Day (Tuesday), I decided that I want to try doing a dose of DMT a day, even if it's just a small dose. The thinking behind it is this: I have been putting a lot of energy into DMT, but I haven't been taking a lot of DMT. I mean, come on! It's tattooed on the side of my arm and I haven't even done this stuff ten times. So as a means by which to kind of become more comfortable with the substance and maybe make it a bit less scary, I decided that I want to do a dose a day.

This trip happened yesterday. It was my little brother and myself. I decided that I'd do a 50mg dose, even though I was kind of thinking that I'd do a 70mg for my next one after the 40mg the day before failed to get me to break through. That said, it was a good idea that I stuck with 50mg this day.

We climbed up the hill that I have taken as my DMT blastoff location. It is situated up above our town and overlooks much of the city and the forest below. It's nothing short of beautiful. It is getting a bit chilly now that we're in November, but it's not too bad after around 10 in the morning. The breeze is the only thing that's really a bother, and it really wasn't all that bad this day.

Little brother and I made it up to the top of the hill and I laid out a blanket and pillow. We meditated for awhile, and I listened to my recording that I made after my last two trips the day prior. It was the one where I first proposed "a dose a day" and it made me become less afraid about what I was about to do.

I loaded the GVG with 50mg of spice. I took a practice run, then I went for it. I was going to try sitting up through the entire trip, but laid a pillow behind me and practiced falling backwards into it prior to hitting the dose.

When I took the dose, I tried taking just a little bit of air in until I saw the pipe start to produce heavy vapors, then I expelled what was in my lungs to make room for just the pure spice vapors. The hit was very long and very, very, very big. Dude… that GVG with the torch lighter is difficult to over-praise! It's a magical tool!

The effects came on softly in that they didn't just knock me straight onto my face like I used to get from salvia. Instead, it was like a blanket laid over me. About 10 seconds into holding the hit, I looked straight up and blew out just a little of the hit to make room for more air--it didn't hurt to hold the hit, but it was hard to hold my breath with so much vapor and so little oxygen.

That was probably my last fully coherent thought before the trip came upon me. And right as it did, I heard the sudden chug, chug, chug of a train off in the distance. It rolled right in as my trip rolled itself in. The two were timed perfectly together. Little brother later remarked that he was a little worried that the train might have made it a bit too intense, but it really didn't. Quickly I was thrust into a place where I didn't hear any of the sounds in the external world.

I closed my eyes and sat up cross legged at first. The trip came on very heavy, and I was in a swirling chamber of fluid shapes and morphing colors. I never ended up leaving this place during the trip, and I think it may be because I couldn't hold the hit in for long enough. It was really tremulous though. I was spinning round and round and totally lost in this vortex.

The answer came to mind, although I hadn't yet heard the question, and it was "then don't." It took me awhile to realize what that was an answer to, and here's what it was. I was sitting there thinking, "wow… this might be a bit much for me right now." and the answer was "then don't. If you don't want to do this, then you don't have to."

Luckily, that feeling didn't last all that long. It's not that I caught my bearings, it's just that I adjusted to the new environment that existed behind my closed eyes.

There was an entity there. I only met one of them, but it was not dissimilar to some other creatures that I've encountered in the DMT realm. He (don't ask me how I knew the gender, but I knew it to be a male) was large and spinning around in this chamber, but every time he made an orbit around the chamber, I'd catch him in this same position--like planets orbiting a sun; they come back to the first point once a year, and it was that "once a year" that I was catching, and it created a movie-reel kind of effect. Every time the entity circled the chamber, he moved just a bit, and I could track him like in a flip book.

The entity didn't do a lot, but he clearly held out a pipe towards me. It was a pipe like one that I've never smoked from before; I've seen these pipes before, but I have not used them. It was sort of like a stylized tobacco pipe or a peace pipe. The entity was reaching out towards me with the pipe until he reached a point where he was actually reaching through me, and he kind of just passed all the way through my body before I opened my eyes.

I should mention, before I get to the eye opening part, that I had laid backwards during the first 45 seconds of the trip. It came upon me so strong that I couldn't take it sitting up and I had to lay backwards. I did a bit of writhing like I do on really high mushroom doses, but I was in a more peaceful place within 2 minutes of intake.

I opened my eyes when I heard my brother say "Wow… did you see that?" By this point I had sat back up, but I don't remember doing that; I only remember laying back. The trip had been so strong at that point that most of my thought process was, "I will never be able to speak of the things I'm witnessing in this place."

When I opened my eyes, little brother was pointing out towards the horizon. I wanted to answer his question with, "no--my eyes have been closed up to this point" but I wasn't quite ready to start making words at that point. Instead I looked off in the distance towards, what I thought was a trick of light, that he was pointing at.

I wasn't really all that concerned about whatever brother was pointing at, because wherever I looked I was lost in the beauty of the world. Everything was so bright, and edges were so brilliantly defined. It wasn't like some of the acid trips that I've had where everything is moving and bending every which way--no, it was actually quite stable. And that startled me, because even though I was tripping very hard at this point, I couldn't quite explain what was different other than colors being brighter and my perception of the meaning of all things.

It turned out that it was a hawk that had swooped down near us while I had my eyes closed--that's what little brother was pointing at, and I saw it on its second circle towards us. I smiled and watched as it landed in a tree. I realized that this hawk was the same thing that I had been looking at a week prior when I had my first 1.5 hour D pen session in that same location. It had just been perched in a tree and I wondered what it was, but never went to investigate. Seeing it yesterday however made me realize that the hawk was exactly what I'd been seeing.

The journey was intense and positive. I think that I may need to adjust my GVG technique so that I take it all in two hits rather than one, but this is something that I'm going to have to continue to consider as time progresses.

For the time being, I'm going to end this report and move onto my next one, because yes--I did continue the "dose a day" attempt this morning too.
