If you're having difficulty breaking through, consider this.


Swim said that on occasion, she would vaporize spice within 2-3 minutes after waking up, and broke through the veil faster. The spice was smoked almost exactly after she had awoken, and before she even exhaled the first hit, she finally understood the phrase 'the buisness man's trip'.

She sat there in a visual jaw drop, only for about 4 or 5 minutes. But the trip had more of a 'dense' feeling.

Never has she had such an immersive, instant onset. She has tried the same thing before.....waking up and immediately vaporizing.....she was using a different pipe and it didn't work at all....she even inhaled more this time...

The pipe she used that worked that morning, was a super miniature glass bong, where you could easily load it in the barrel and then heat it with a flame underneath. The second try was with a tiny glass spoon.

Different pipes for different occasions, in Swims opinion.

Anyways my experience with traveling first thing in the morning wasn't quite as pleasent but it was definitely interesting.

I woke up at 5AM and vaped a 25mg dose just to meet an entity that was IN my room while I was having my eyes open. It was some kind of a slime that was able to talk in binary language, which I kind of understood because it was trying to translate itself. It also crawled up my leg, stomach, chest where it rested talking to me. I could feel it and it was real like no trip before.

However I felt like my brain wasn't able to follow the visions, still "booting up" being half asleep and not ready for the experience.
The whole process of vaping felt strange to me as if my body was telling me "I have no idea what I am doing". Everything felt clumsy.

Should try vapeing after the first 4 or 5 hours of sleep..
Lucid dreamers take galantamine after the first 4 or 5 hours of [deep sleep].. then return to bed to lucid dream durring the last 4 or more hours durring high REM sleep...
Rapid eye movment sleep [REM] is when most people dream the most in last 4 hours of sleep..
Durring REM sleep the last half of the sleep cycle would be an interesting experiment vapeing DMT...
My guess is that one might induce an instant OBE this way?Thumbs up

The time right before falling asleep and right after waking up are indeed easier for breakthroughs.

People who lucid dream say that it's much easier to enter that state during the hypnagogic state before and after sleep.

I see no reason why DMT can't follow the same rule.

I think time of day has no effect.

Quality of DMT. ( ie. better if pure white )

And pipe method Used are far more important I used the machine.


I broke through first time, first try,

But I did research first, made sure I had the small whiskey bottle pipe method, and had pure white dmt.

Very interesting experiences! I do have an odd feeling when I get up, but it's most likely just a general drowsiness. Still though this already "not so focused" state could help propel you to new levels.

If you're one who believes that DMT is released spontaneously during sleep, then there could be a more scientific reason to this (like just breaking through then going at it again intensifies the experience, or there are already certain chemicals available in your brain that usually get filtered out for normal life that enhance the trip). This is just conjecture of course but who knows.

It merits more experimentation; maybe I'll have to try it out!

I wanted to add to this thread.

This is my preferred time to smoke. I have mentioned this to two friends and they cannot fathom that it is beneficial. They just shake their heads and say something like "I don't think I could or even want to try it in the morning" or "I get so tired afterwards I would be too sleepy and unproductive the entire day".

Not the case with me. I find that a small amount, around 10 mg, will take me into a body type of meditation. It feels like I am the center of attention from high class Dr's and surgeons. Although it is not extremely visual there is a presence of intelligence. It can range from just tentacle like patterns to actually seeing a few "figures" that look over me or scan my body from left to right. It will always start on my left field of vision and move in a straight line to my right side. According to the clock this only lasts 10 minutes but to me it feels like time slowly stops so the "Dr's" can do their checkup.

It feels like "they" have a conversation with my body. With these experiences I don't get the upload of information feeling, I am literally shown what needs attention. The most profound journey was a well dressed jaguar Dr that pointed at my stomach and put up his hand in the classic "stop" manner, just like Stop The information given that morning was about how my digestive system needs improvement, very simple stuff.

When it all falls into place just right it is very therapeutic and helpful. I try to give the experience the time it needs to settle down so I'm very centered by the time I get out of bed. While the experience fades I plan out exactly what I need to do to get ready for the day. I am never foggy or tired, I feel humble and magical, it's kind of like playing cards with a perfect hand.

The numerical time has nothing to do with it, but Nero chemistry has everything to do with it. During sleep cycles nerochemicals such as pinoline, melatonin ect. leave the door open, so to speak.
This has been mentioned here on the Nexus a few times, though it appears research has ceased to continue. many wonder why.
Before and after sleep are very good times to enter the viod almost effortlessly. this is very effective, and part of why meditation is so important to experience full emersion with consciousness itself. It makes letting go no problem at all, no pre-flight anxiety IMO.
DMT/changa before and after sleep dose have an effect on dreams, they become very DMTish or otherworldly and very lucid, kind of intense.

Interesting accounts, I wonder what experience the subject would have if you injected them with DMT as they hit REM sleep?

I've considered that before. I bet it would be incredible. I wonder if strassman ever tried that

There definitely seems to be something going on when you ingest straight after waking, maybe less competition for receptors? It feels much more gentle on the body and mind, I wander if theres some sort of synergy with melatonin..

Coffee?? lol good stuff, only in the morning, smoke after that drink, but, not before bedtime.. lol

I have two experiences with smoking in the morning, and both were uneventful.

One time was while I was still in my bed and I don't recall the dose or anything but at the time I was going for 20-30 mg, with a decent vaping technique (VG).
Nothing much happened.

The other time was right after waking up, dressing, going into the garden as it was a beautiful morning and still quite early (around 6am). Meditated for a couple of minutes and took my pipe. Same thing, I vaped what should have been a breakthrough dose but this time absolutely nothing happened at all.

So based on just those two experiences I'd have to say that for my metabolism at least it doesn't appear to work this way.

I havent tried traveling with DMT first thing in the morning, but that is my favorite time to chew Salvia - first thing after sleep, or last thing before sleep. The relaxed dream/sleep state seems really conducive to letting go and relaxing into the experience.... I could see why that would work very well for DMT as well!

If I work with longer acting substance this is also often my favorite way to go - wake up, and before breakfast take whatever it is for the day and then go hike in the woods for a while.... Something really nice about committing a whole day to ceremony....

I have never journeyed right after waking but it sounds intriguing!

I have, however, made it into a little ritual right before bed! It is such a great way to slip into dreamland.

I dont really know what it is but I always seem to have a more restful sleep after a successful trip into the unknown. Almost like my mind is saying, "well that was fantastically strange! Time to power down and dwell on it some more while you rest!"

Then I slip into a blissful state of sleep!

It is quite wonderful!

I've heard of the wake and bake but never a wake and vape!
