Hello,

I seem to be someone with a high tolerance for DMT, i can smoke a LOT and feel only a strong body high on some days, and mild visuals on others, but nowhere near to a breakthrough.

The weird thing is, sometimes i smoke the same amount and the effects are far stronger than on other days.

I had a few breakthroughs, but nothing life changing.

I've been smoking DMT for a few years now, on occasion, but i would like to breakthrough, big time, i never succeeded so far.Now i'm not too happy to waste my precious DMT anymore, i do use a LOT, a small pile, the smoke comes out in big puffs, it is definitely enough to have a full on breakthrough.I can't measure below 100mg so how much exactly i don't know.

Other people had amazing breakthroughs on those doses, while i haven't experienced anything even near to their experiences.

Are there things i can do to improve my chances of breaking through?

I meditate, i'm trying to be relaxed and stress free, as much as i can at least, i lay down, headphones on, ambient playing and eyes closed.

I keep toking my VG until no smoke, or very little, is left, i keep expecting that high pitched noise, but it doesn't come, maybe i'm too focused on it, i don't know.

Have you tried changa with an maoi? My best guess would be to experiment more around with maoi?

I second the maoi with change and also look into your technique. Try a different type of pipe.

Also are you on any medications?, benzos, alcohol, and other meds can make it that way.

It is also possible your just one of those people that doesn't respond to the molecule.

I'd suggest making changa with an maoi.

I had to avoid changa for a few years because i was on SSRI's, now i'm just about to quit my Xanax, that's a benzo i thought.I always figured this could have something to do with it, but i had problems before i used Xanax as well.

I tried the light bulb (i won't do that again, the smoke can be extremely harsh, like really EXTREMELY harsh, it ruins the whole experience), but the effects where strong though.

I used to use my bong, ash/dmt/ash, that worked fine, but sometimes i also burned my DMT, producing a very harsh smoke again.

With my VG the smoke is smooth as silk, but the effects seem to be much weaker, i don't use too much heat, just enough to vaporize it, i don't have it for very long, so yes, my technique is probably a little off.

Can i burn my DMT with the VG, or is it perfectly safe to use "too much" heat?

Can you recommend me the most effective changa mix you can think of?I'm gonna order the things i need and try that.I always wanted to do it, now i'm off the SSRI's i can.

PS: What do you mean Wakeup? Are there people who feel nothing from DMT?I definitely feel the effetcs, but sometimes it's nothing more than a strong body high, other times it goes deeper, but not like anything a real breakthrough should be like.

Yes there are some people that just do not respond to DMT for some reason. I'm not sure if they feel nothing at all or just minimal effects but it is a documented fact.

As far as the xanax goes it is probably what is preventing you from achieving the desired reaction. You have to remember benzos build up in your system and it can take a few weeks time for your body to eliminate them entirely. I'm not sure if benzos only interfere with DMT when the actual effects are manifest or if they do the entire time they linger in your system. I would suggest not using Anny time of benzo for several weeks and then trying again.

Make sure you use a accurate mg scale to weigh the dose and a pipe that will allow you to vape the dose without burning it.

Also hold the hits in for as long as you can ,minimum of 15 seconds. And try to get the entire dose in as fast as possible.

I'd like.to.know your results if you do in fact follow these suggestions.

I would recommend building the machine and trying with that.

Quote:
Downregulation of post-synaptic 5-HT2A receptor is an adaptive process provoked by chronic administration of SSRIs and classical antipsychotics. Deceased suicidal and otherwise depressed patients have had more 5-HT2A receptors than normal patients. These findings suggest that post-synaptic 5-HT2A overdensity is involved in the pathogenesis of depression.[4]

Activation of the 5-HT2A receptor is necessary for the effects of the "classic" psychedelics like LSD, psilocin and mescaline, which act as full or partial agonists at this receptor, and represent the three main classes of 5-HT2A agonists, the ergolines, tryptamines and phenethylamines, respectively. A very large family of derivatives from these three classes has been developed, and their structure-activity relationships have been extensively researched.[28][29]

Probably not enough 5-HT2A receptors due to the SSRIs in your brain...

Sounds like your smoking method is off.

If properly handled/inhaled, one long pull held in for as long as possible should be all that is required.

The fact that you report repeated/continuous toking points to either poor vaporization or not holding it in long enough, imo.

Thanks Wakeup, i can't measure my doses, 'cause my scale can't go below 100mg, but it's a pile, enough for other people to go all the way.

I'm almost done with my Xanax, i expect to be completely off of it next week, the effects are extremely low now though, i'm gradually breaking them down to smaller parts, it's a bitch to get off from once you take it for a while.

Hey Ufostrahlen, the article you posted was very interesting, but i have no problems with LSD or psilocybin at all, i actually need less LSD than other people to go really deep, same with mushrooms. I'm off of SSRI's for a few years now though, i don't think that's the problem. But thanks for the link and the info though!

SnozzzleBerry (love that name Smile )You're probably right, i remember my best experiences have always been when my first toke produced a thick white cloud, nevertheless sometimes i peak at a certain dose, while on other days i feel nothing more than a heavy body high.

My smoking technique should definitely improve, but it's still weird, also, when i feel energetic and alive the effects are much stronger than when i'm tired, but that's normal i guess.

I think over the years i smoked DMT for about 30 times, roughly, it could be more, probably more, but i can't tell, and out of this times i had maybe 3 experiences that could count as semi breakthroughs. The high pitched noises, going through a spinning mandala, creatures looking at me etc, but that's not what interests me about DMT, i want to use it as a teacher, a guide, as i use LSD and psilocybin, i'm not really in it for the fun alone.(anymore) My respect for psychedelics has grown as i aged.

I guess i'm a slow learner what concerns DMT. Smile
