I've had the pleasure of meeting Alex, a very kind creative man. I feel like before our first conversation I had a connection with him through the understanding of his art and its origin. As we all know words scantly portray our experiences and it can be quite difficult to capture in art but Alex does an amazing job.

What does his work mean to you?

I also added a picture of a piece of art I recently did. 'Oneness' 12"x12" Acrylic.
From the void in darkness composed of perfect structure our awareness brings forth ambition to journey toward our center finding one's true self and everlasting connectedness. I had a recent overwhelming experience that put great strain on me mentally and emotionally so I channeled that energy into a meaningful piece of art.

I connected with Alex Grey's art through having my own experiences and then seeing what i saw in his paintings. It blew me away because i realized not only what he was able to do, but realizing that we all have the ability to enter these realms of vision.

I had an experience where i had a fetus in the my head (CEV), almost the same as a few of his paintings where there is a fetus in a skull. Representing in my eye, the rebirth of the human mind, life in death and also reincarnation. Also i had my own visions of the net of being, although what i saw myself was in a lot of ways different, it represented the same thing.

His work is undoubtedly some of the best spiritual work on canvas of our time. I visited the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in NYC before he moved everything to new place. I can not say enough about what he has done as an artist and how much i continue to appreciate his work.

Just some constructive criticism for your work, being i have seen all kinds. Attempt to do something original, something that truly represents something unique and true to yourself. I see a lot of people drawing and painting the flower of life as if it is a growing fad in the past couple years. However stick with it! If i could paint some of the most profound experiences i have had, i believe honestly i would be right up there with Alex himself haha. My talents lie elsewhere though. Thank you for sharing!

Painting this piece was sort of out of my realm as I am one to create something entirely original. I mostly mess with pencil/paper or digital and photography. I wanted to experiment with paint so I picked something pretty simple to get use to actually applying paint to a canvas.

I started experimenting with dmt prior to seeing Alex's work which I am so happy for. I often hear people reference their experiences to actual pieces of art he makes being that they've seen it before going into hyperspace. Same goes for people seeing hyper transforming elves because TM spoke of them but did many times ruminate on how subjective the experience is. I don't see what Alex paints, but there is similarity and I relate immensely. I will be working on a painting soon to try and put what i see on canvas but I need some more practice with the paints. I need to build that relationship before I dive into such a complex project.

I saw him speak and spoke with him briefly.

I experienced much of what he paints, sober though.

I asked him if he was aware of people encountering and experiencing such things without psychedelics and he replied yes.

He paints for me a stylized and psychedelic representation of reality.

I can't find where I've written about it but I once took LSD at COSM and got to hang next to him while he painted for a bit. I was having a mind boggling experience already and when i sat down i immediately saw these crystalline vortexes filled with entities of all sorts coming through the painting, but it was in such a way that I couldn't tell any difference between what was hyperspace and what he was painting. I almost wanted to ask him about it, but luckily I refrained from making a complete fool of myself (at least apart from what must have been a dumbstruck expression on my face). It was all just seamlessly flowing, with no differentiation or way to tell apart the paint from the visions...Sort of like how we see faces in the patterns of trees while on mushrooms. So yeah unfortunately we didn't do much talking

After that it was as if my mind was zero'd in on his vision and resonating with the hyperspatial perspective behind his work. Walking around I started to see it blooming in everything; the trees, the people, all over. It was profoundly moving for me. House reported something similar while tripping at cosm... Seems pretty obvious where alex draws his inspiration from

CoSM in a wonderful place. I can't wait till the Entheon is complete. I have made a conscious decision to remain entirely sober when I attend. There is such an amazingly spiritual vibe that any psychedelic or even MJ can alter that blissful state. I actually prefer to take heavy psychedelic doses alone anyway.

There is cool back story for why I stated going to CoSM. After years of experimenting with DMT and understanding what it was for myself I wanted to subtly put my knowledge out there to help others that were interested. I simply put a 15 inch DMT molecule decal sticker on my rear window of the car.

This eventually lead to an interested person whom told me had they come across DMT in an intimate situation they would consider experimenting with it. Well the situation was very intimate and safe to say the least. At first I chickened out and told this person it was a serotonin molecule, but they next time we met at the same place we got further into discussion.

Turns out my new friend had been attending CoSM for quite some time while in NYC and countless times upstate. I always wanted to go, he suggested we go together. When we got there he seemed to know Alex pretty well, as Alex did him. It was like old friends picking up where they left off. They got into a deep chat while alex was painting, he stopped to engage. Alex's wife Alison was painting next to him. I spoke with her briefly about that strange language she paints, and I asked her if she had any idea what it meant. She may have thought my question was vague until I shared with her that I often see these symbols in hyperspace.
