I encountered this on the Eboka forums, very ambitious perhaps but thought it should be shared here.

"A whitehouse.gov account is required to sign Petitions"

Screw that.
Fear, belief, love phenomena that determined the course of our lives. These forces begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. We cross and recross our old paths like figure skaters; our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.

I don't like being cynical, but...

Those whitehouse.gov petitions are a joke. I used to participate in them but not once have I seen the administration follow through as a direct result of the online petition process. Political showmanship at its best, imho.

I feel like things like this, calling attention to them for 'legalization' isn't going to help any. It's like all the terrible videos on youtube about DMT, and peoples personal DMT experience. It's not going to better a situation, and as a whole, it's certainly not really going to help individuals out. I could go to anyone I know, and say DMT to them, and theyd stare at me. Which, I think is good, because not only does that mean theyre unaware of something like this, but it leaves hope for proper education on the subject.

Let's be serious, if this was 'legal' and it got into the hands of someone who didn't have proper knowledge, training, guidance, etc, and the person was some hyped up imbecile who thought it would be cool to do some outlandish huge dose because they can pound down 20 shots at the bar on the weekend in under a minute so 'hey what would 80 or 90mg of this powder hurt, Ive done coke before and that was awesome'... they'd literally destroy themselves to the point of it being even worse than them being a club hopping, fight seeking alcohol abusing moron. Not to put down people who abuse alcohol by any means because everyone got their demons, and unfortunately, thats the standard legal getaway for someone to self medicate an issue that they refuse to face, and its sensationalized throughout the 15-28 year old demographic. I know of more friends with 12-16 year old brothers and sisters who drink habitually to 'have fun' as a means of socializing, which to me is pathetically sickening. I personally have never had any sort of dependency on alcohol or usage of drugs further than advil for an unyielding head ache, and I feel infinitely fortunate to be able to say that.

Now imagine that scenario X10000000 lol. Things are a little too far gone for something this far 'out there' to be legalized, let alone without proper education. And I dont mean school or PBS education, because thats not effective. Sex and safe sex is part of education and look how many 14 - 18 year olds are getting pregnant. This isnt a society that embraces exploring consciousness and self healing (if needed), its a materialistic, soulless society that embraces alcoholic binges and wacked out pills sold by mega-pharma who say drug XYZ will cure your ABC, but it'll side-effect you with the rest of the alphabet as well. Which, coincidentally, they've also got a pill for!
"A troop of elves smashes down your front door and rotates and balances the wheels on the after death vehicle, present you with the bill and then depart. And it's completely paradigm shattering. I mean, ya know, union with the white light you could handle. An invasion of your apartment by jeweled self dribbling basketballs from hyperspace that are speaking in demonic Greek is NOT something that you anticipated and could handle!' -T.M.
