I have been dreaming of this beautiful tree for the past few weeks.

the first dream was in Mexico. I was walking through some dingy back street only to turn a corner and find one of these illuminated by the street lamp. It looked magical, almost like it was trying to communicate with me by relflecting the light off it's glowing flowers...

the next dream i was at work. i turned the corner and there was a Persian silk tree the size of a small bundleflower sitting in the grass. This time it was less magical and more....foreboding perhaps?

last night i dreamed i was stepping on the fallen flowers of this tree

strange dreams...
In dreams...I walk with you
In dreams...I talk to you
In dreams...Your mine
All of the time
We're together
In dreams...In dreams

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

Your dreams about peculiar plants are fascinating.

About a month ago I went to a friend's house and noticed a very Mimosa/Acacia looking tree
in the garden of his neighbors. The neighbor happened to be working in the garden so I asked
him what tree it was and he confirmed it was "Albizia Julibrissin". I had also been fascinated with the Persian Silk Tree as it so amazingly resembled Mimosa & Acacia trees in leafs, flowers and trunk. I always wondered wether it might contain DMT, 5-MeO-DMT or 5-OH-DMT...

If you can get some, it never hurts to sample some twigs, leafs and trunkbark to test for the presence of any spicey alkaloids I guess...( No need to say: leave the roots alone)

Nice dreaming - but please do not cut and hurt trees searching for psychedelic tryptamines, this species has been researched (and discussed here in the Nexus, try a search) and there is no reports of DMT in Albizia Julibrissin.

It does show antidepressant properties, and it has been used as a tea for that purpose. It also contains serotonin, but in that form it does not cross the blood-brain barrier so it's not accountable for the relaxing-antidepressant effects.

I wont. There is an extract available at my local herb shop which I might try though. I had a few of these growing on my street when I was a kid and even then it felt like it held some kind of mystery

Nice! How are you supposed to ingest that extract? Drink it?
Let us know how it goes and wether or not it had any Psychoactive or Oneirogenic effects.

Just recently attempted an extraction of the silk tree....
Collected surface roots from several trees in late summer.
Removed bark, and ground it up. There was a zip-lock full.

This was attempted before i think,
but i tried it again, with acid/base/naphtha.
There was nothing at all in the finished extract.

Grew up climbing these trees also, and always felt something very special about them.
Love
Much thanks to this post, it seems obvious that the best place to look is in the flowers!
That's the part that most people make the happy tea from, and pleasant smoque from.

With the correct technique, i am almost certain some magical medicine can be found.
I suppose people claim the tea works, so just a simple water extraction could work.
Maybe fermenting wine from the flowers could make something interesting happen.

Try when back in bloom, as you might know, the trees become filled with flowers!

Thanks for sharing your dreams!
*ALL WAYS WITH LOVE

So did you try the drops of Albizzia stem bark-extract yet, sleepypelican?
And if so how did your dreaming go?
