Hello all you nice people. For hopefully your benefit and mine, I am going to attempt to encapsulate my experience and the time leading up to it.
I am lying in bed. I have a pipe sitting on my nightstand that has been preloaded with DMT for a few days. I look at it, I ask myself, is tonight the night? I grab my mobile phone and browse the DMT nexus and read a couple trip reports. I am excited by the prospect of finally breaking through into hyperspace, although still wary. I set my phone down, I lie in bed and close my eyes. I commit myself to the upcoming experience, remind myself to let go and get ready for a ride. I decide to have the experience with no music and no light.
I grab the pipe, and take my first hit. I hold it in for ten seconds, exhale, breathe and take another one. Repeat one more time. I begin to hear a moderate paced humming sound, I see my room begin to be overlayed with wavy images. The humming is becoming more apparent, and while I would not describe it as annoying, I feel that it will be distracting. Using all my concentration I press play on my phone, and hear some classic Bluetech come on. Good. I am feeling good, I can tell I am already slightly further than I have been before. I reach for my pipe again, I look down at my hand holding the pipe and it momentarily morphs out of existence. I know it is still there, it morphs back into existence, I take one last hit and set the pipe down. I begin to feel a completely new sensation, I can feel a buzzing from the bottom of my groin to my neck(and certain central locations among the line buzzing stronger, notably in my groin and stomach). I can tell my spaceship is blasting me away. I reach for my lamp and turn off the light and...
BAM!
Instead of getting darker, everything is instantly brighter and I realize I have entered another realm. The background is composed of thick, smooth green and white stripes, moving in a slow, wave-like motion. In the foreground are spinning objects (lateral view, like looking at a spinning ballerina, not looking down a drain). Everything is soft curves. As I gaze at a tree-like spinning object (that is also moving in perfect with synchrony of the background). I realize there is another object superimposed upon the spinning, wavy tree and that it is also spinning and waving in synchrony, and I get about five layers deep of these superimposed objects all spinning and waving separately and yet together. I look on with wonderment and fascination, and as I appreciate this incredibly complex and yet elegantly simple motion I realize that the tree I had been inspecting, as well as some other, less well remembered things are actually superimposed on a giant being.
It is so large that I can not even see its head within my field of view. I see its legs (where the tree, for lack of a better word, is) and lower torso. As I become aware of it, it begins to move. As its leg begins to move all the objects that are superimposed on it, of course, also begin to move. We are going somewhere, it is pleasant, cartoon-like and almost playful.
Before I continue, I would like to add a few points that didn't seem to fit in the flow. The buzzing along my centre was disconcerting during this time. I had read about people experiencing this, but never paid it much attention as I was not interested in those effects. I was very aware of it, but not really distracted by it.
Carrying on...
As I begin to follow this being (with my eyes) I notice a dark spot within my view. I casually glance at it, as it is curious that there is nothing going on in this area. The second my eyes hit it, blackness explodes into my view. It is another giant being, a black (as opposed to the previous green) one. The being has literally jumped at me and is looking at me, bent down and hunched over staring at me (I can't see eyes, but it I know it is staring at me). The buzzing along my centre increases dramatically and frighteningly simultaneously with its arrival. As this happens I instantly recoil in a moment of sheer panic that I have never had with psychedelics before. I look back at the green giant being and he is slowly carrying on, taking his wacky world with him. I feel at this moment that I can get away from the dark being and get back to the green one if I wish. However, a thought occurs to me.
I had earlier in the day read a tidbit of advice that was something to the effect of "Don't run from the dark entities, sometimes they have something to teach you as well".
So with that thought in my mind I return my gaze the black being and look on with caution. As I look, I can see it is a similar being made of the same superimposed objects, yet markedly more chaotic and angular. My sense of fear subsides, the being is moving slowly, in stark contrast to its sudden arrival. I feel like it has felt my fear and hesitation and is reassuring me. As it begins to speed back up, I realize it is withdrawing. I look again for my green friend and realize my trip to hyperspace is coming to an end. I slowly and softly return back to what we commonly describe as reality.
So that was my first real journey into DMT hyperspace. I am looking forward to my next visit. Words hardly do it justice, but these are the moments and things that stood out to me.
A few personal takeaways:
1. The buzzing of my body and the humming in my ears. The buzzing was very strange and unexpected. I remember when I first felt it my groin, and thought, "Uhh, what is going on here?" The humming I basically drowned out, but if it occurs again, I may give it a go. I looked up chakras on google(something I have never given serious thought to) and saw that the chakras travel in a straight line up your body. That was a very weird discovery for me, and warrants further investigation.
2. The superimposed objects spinning in synchronicity, aided my visual understanding of extra-spatial dimensions, as some of physics leading theories suggest might exist. Basically, from my understanding, at the teeniest, tiniest measurement, space will coil within other dimensions. I am talking spatial dimensions like, length, height, etc. Not ghosts and aliens and interstellar travel. Personally interesting.
3. Not running from the dark entity seemed to work - this time. Was not expecting it at all, just carrying on down the rabbit hole and KABLAMO! An altogether new experience.
Lastly a few questions for those of you who might have made it this far.
1. Have you experienced the buzzing and/or humming? What are you personal views on this phenomena?
2. Have you experienced dark entities? Any advice or words of caution in how to deal with them?
3. Has anyone experienced that particular effect where the dark being explodes into your vision?
4. Should I expect to revisit this same realm? Or will I likely be sent somewhere else?
Thank you all for taking the time to read this!
