Hello Nexus, this is my first post here, though I've been lurking for a while. This is a repost of mine from the Shroomery, which is why there is an update (follow up post). Glad to be here, I love the community's outlook.

I'm having a bit of trouble with my STB extracted DMT crystals. This is my second STB.

The first extraction, my end product was a tan coloured, sandy textured blend of multiple pulls, and it was great! Lovely trips, very potent. After about 7 or so nice trips over the past couple months with this spice I decided to do a recrystallization of what I had (around 400 mg) which resulted in 200mg (not sure where it got lost) or so of a nice, off-white powder. Looks very clean. I was excited at how pure it looked.
This is where things get rather strange though.
This white powdered dmt has since been vaporized 3 times (sandwich bong method, which has always been effective for me) and twice now it has been basically ineffective.

The first time I hit it after the Re-X, using my usual dose, I could feel a tiny bit of effects, but I barely got anywhere. Nothing compared to the sandy product journeys of before the recrys. Disappointed and confused, I tried again an hour later with a very slightly larger dose and it absolutely blasted me off further than I've ever gone so far! Amazing! Still confused about the first time though.

Tried again today, same thing! About 20 minutes ago I tried and again, I barely felt it. I'm going to try again in an hour and hope that it works.

Any reason for why the results have been either blast off or absolutely nothing? My vaporization method is fine (barely flaming the material, taking 3 large takes as per usual). Before the recrystallization, even a small dose would at least give me decent effects. Kind of confused, did I ruin my spice somehow? It's been stored airtight, dark, cool for about a week since ReX. Any reason why my near-white product isnt anywhere near as good as before?

tl;dr - spice was great before recrystallization, now 2/3 trips have been ineffective. Why?

UPDATE: It was alright, still lacking in colour. It was very dark (not evil, just monochromatic) I saw a couple faint entities dancing around, doing cartwheels and it made my vision go kind of crazy, but it felt very hollow. Not sure what's wrong. Before it was VERY colourful and I felt like I had "become the divine", and I could feel my soul smiling. But now it feels like there's something missing.
I'm powering on every hour until I get there today, so I'll keep you all updated.

Gonna try some darker coloured stuff that I've kept separate that I got from my first pull (first one always seems to result in darker spice) Maybe it's the alkaloids that I'm missing from before?
