I had a 3 tab LSD trip at a small festival that brought me to a certain interesting thought that I was able to remember.
When we imagine different planets or realities we always think about individual conscious selves contained in a larger reality of energy or matter. With just differences of biology or physical laws.
The easiest way to describe this is "the trinity" of universe, selves, and consciousness. BUT need every reality be structured in this way?
I tried to imagine a different kind of universe and it was really difficult. It always just seemed to be a variation on the trinity universe we are embedded in.
Is it even possible for a mind within this kind of reality to imagine another one? If so what would it be like? Has anyone read a book or something that described a different kind of reality than the self, universe, consciousness one we are embedded in?
In the province of the mind what one believes to be true, either is true or becomes true within certain limits. These limits are to be found experimentally and experientially. When so found these limits turn out to be further beliefs to be transcended. In the province of the mind there are no limits. However, in the province of the body there are definite limits not to be transcended.-J.C. Lilly
