I hope I'm not asking an old question. There's so much to read. I've hit a point I think I could use a guide. Does anyone know if there are there ANY shamans with experience in this area that work in the USA?

There are groups such as Santo Daime and the Church of the UVE that have ceremonies opne to the public but they are not healers or shamans. These groups incorporate Christianity with ayahuasca being used as a sacrament but it has never appealed to me for obvious reasons. I don't wish to sing their songs and dance when drinking aya.

Keep in mind to not try to create meet ups with member's and protect your anonymity if you do choose to join a group to drink with. Do not post it on the nexus and everything is OK in my book.

If there is a local book store specializing in new age and alternative spirituality often times they have news letters or small publishing's that may have information regarding healers visiting your area but keep in mind ayahuasca is Illegal out side of the 2 church's listed above that have won cases in the supreme court to have access and allowed to use ayahuasca so most groups don't advertise ceremonies. Maybe look into so called Western shamans, people that have studied with and learned from cultures of the Amazon. They offer other legal services and ceremonies and may have more information on groups that drink ayahuasca. Just keep in mind the legality of ayahuasca here in the States and what your asking to whom to protect your self.

You can also look into the native American Peyote church's as they allow outsiders to become member's of their parish legally and partake in ceremony. Its not ayahuasca but I have heard their ceremonies are quite nice.

Good advice from Oly Mon above and I tend to agree with this line. The main issue we are trying to avoid is good-intentioned new members baited into LEO traps. This is the last thing we want for the Nexus and its members.

Lately there have been a few members who made fairly simple mistakes, like driving with illegal substances, only to have the mistake erupt into a major situation affecting them and their families. This is why we advocate safe and responsible use while mitigating damage. A simple mitigation measure is to avoid meeting unknown users offline.

I also agree with his statement regarding UDV and Santo Daime rituals. While they enjoy our beloved molecule I for one have no desire to partake in the Christian nonsense. It's not my cup of tea, so to speak. But it is an option should you wish for some group activity.

In the end if you are patient and sincere Ayahuasca will find you. When it does be ready for synchronic time of your life.
