Hello all

I'm in a curious situation; I have some bottles of traditionally brewed ayahuasca (Santo Daime) stored that I no longer intend to use for my usual ayahuasca sessions for some reasons - I have better quality ayahuasca than that one at hand, and some people agreed with me that the batch in question is not the greatest.

The first thought people have is "evaporate it and make it stronger"

But weak/strong is not the only variable in the game; I have evaporated other batches before, and it usually makes a bad weak brew into a bad strong brew. I'm not mystical by any means, but sometimes people don't brew the best thing possible, there are way too many variables to pick a culprit, and reducing the water on it won't make it much better.

Long story short, I don't want to simply throw the ayahuasca out, but I'm not sure what to do with it. So I had this idea: what If I could create something like changa out of it?

So here's my question. Would that be possible? What tek would be recommended? Here in Brazil access to quality solvents is exceedingly hard, so food-safe tek is always better.

Anyone has ideas of things to try with it?

Thanks!

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

You could filter it thoroughly to remove non active solid particles. Then add a base such as lye (can you find it? If not we find alternatives but lye is good option), and some stuff will crash out, forming some solids in the bottom.

You could then use limonene (pm me for brazil source of limonene) which would dissolve DMT and other possible trace tryptamines, but would leave undissolved the harmalas. After you do 3x pulls with limonene, you proceed to retrieve your alkaloids from limonene such as following BLAB tek, but then you will go back to the base soup which should still have your undissolved harmalas on the bottom. Then you filter that (probably pain in the ass but hey, you asked for it Very happy ), and on top of the filter will stay your harmalas plus some impurities.

Then to clean the harmalas you check wiki harmala extraction guide, it will basically be dissolving it again in vinegar and reprecipitating by adding base again, repeating till you have cleaner product.

This is all theory though, a few odd things could happen, like for example harmalas might not precipitate nicely, but at least your DMT you should be able to recover properly by basing and adding solvent.

If for some reason this plan doesnt sound good, let us know why and we can work an alternative plan. And let us know if it works out or not, if you do try Smile

Thanks endlessness!

It seems a great course of action to me!
I have cooking lye available, since it's used for sweets (doce de abobora, candied pumpkin)
I also have a source for limonene, but I'll PM just to check yours if it's better.

As I see it, the harmalas are the most precious item in this brew, since I have my plenty of chacruna available for free to reinforce the extracted amount (a curious situation, it's hard to get fresh caapi, since I don't plant it and it only comes from the amazon already brewed for my contacts). If you have any suggestion to prioritize the caapi yeld, let me know.

It will take me some time to get started on this project (around 2 months) but I'll update my results

Thanks!
