A few members here might know who I am if they read this, I've told it before but it's my favorite story so anyway.

The first time I tried DMT I didn't really get the full effect from it, I coughed some of it out so I didn't get the full dose. That experience was very similar to an OOBE in most respects but not really visual at all. Apparently I had my eyes open the whole time too so shortchanged myself to certain extent.

My second experience was without doubt the most profound and overwhelming experience I have ever had in my life.

I had the house to myself so I prepared a launch pad (yoga mat) and began by smoking cones of caapi leaf - maybe 5 or 6 I'm not sure. The idea was to pre-charge with caapi alkaloids to help the DMT work it's magic (I really wanted to experience the full effect this time). Then I prepared some mugwort and got set to blast off.

Sitting on the yoga mat I half filled a cone with mugwort and sprinkled a dose on top which I covered with a bit more mugwort. I have no idea how much DMT I used, I just covered the mugwort with it. The mugwort was so smooth that it allowed me to inhale it all easily in one go. As I was holding it in I quickly packed another one, blew out the smoke and ripped the next one in.

I was already feeling the effects of the first one by the time I began the second, so as soon as I smoked the second one I layed down and closed my eyes. I held it in for as long as I could which was very easy with mugwort as carrier.

It began with a audible hum that built in intensity and increased in pitch as a beautiful kaleidoscopic fractal web developed. The web was slowly revolving and I started catching glimpses of something moving it.

Then a hand that seemed feminine with long thin fingers reached through the web and then another hand came through and they both started massaging my temples. I could actually feel contact on my temples which freaked me out a bit so I reached up with my hands to assure myself that it was the effect of the spice and not someone else in the room touching me.

As the fingers massaged my temples, they began to start reaching into my head and started massaging my brain around the pineal gland (or where I'd visualise it to be anyway). Next the fingers took a grip on my soul (I think) which was located at that point and dragged it out through my third eye and took me through the fractal web to the other side.

It was then that I saw an odd looking feminine face staring, smiling at me (he looked feminine but I'm sure he was male for some reason) and he started beckoning me with hand gestures to follow him down a dark tunnel with a dim glow at the other end. For some reason I felt like we were old friends.

On the journey through the tunnel I saw an evil looking male face appear in front of me that seemed to be blocking my transit along the tunnel. A mate had told me how he'd seen similar thing on Aya recently. He got stuck on that image and couldn't move past it for the majority of his Aya session and it had ruined the experience for him. So I just decided to accept it and not put any emotion in to the scene and he faded away.

As I reached the end of the tunnel I saw my benevolent friend disappear through a small hole and disappear into the glow. There was no way I could fit through such a small opening and I began to get a bit frustrated at being stuck at that juncture. I decided to try to relax and do some yogic breathing and tried to project myself through the hole, which worked instantly.

Then I found myself in a small chamber with several doors, a door opened and my benevolent friend beckoned to me to come through.

I'd landed on another world which was dimly lit as it appeared to be night time. We descended down to ground level and I was given a full guided tour of the city and was introduced to a group of children. I felt like was there to learn from them.

I stayed with the children for what seemed like several days and then I was taken to a group of older people by my friend. They seemed to have been tasked to instill their values into my psyche. Which they did, their whole world seemed to revolve around a spirit of co-operation and had community spirit similar to what indigenous cultures had here on earth until capitalism and greed became the only way.

At the end of my journey (which for some reason I got the impression lasted about 3 weeks) I was taken back by my friend to the chamber where I'd entered their world when I came through.

Then to my surprise he asked me if I wanted to stay. I'm not sure if that meant that I would have to leave my physical body forever - die? I didn't really think about and told him yes which is strange because I love life and I really don't want to die.

Then he went through another door to a room that seemed to be where a council of elders were. A heated discussion ensued and several of them seemed to be arguing my case to get permission for me to stay. After what seemed to take ages he came back out and told me "no sorry you're going to have to go back"

I was then sucked back through where I'd entered and rapidly came back to my body. The comedown was almost as rapid as the way up and when I came to and sat up I had tears in my eyes because I was devastated at not being allowed to stay.

The afterglow lasted a while and I was a twilight zone for maybe 10-15 minutes with my head still spinning trying to comprehend what I'd just seen.

I don't know if my mind had constructed a utopia and I went there or whether I'd actually left my body and visited another world, but at the time it was as real as any experience I've ever had.

Thats amazing! I have read lots of reports about time distortion on large does so one perceivably spends a very long time away from this reality.

The fact you could influence the trip with your projection and your breath control fascinates me!

I believe you did actually go there and you where asked to stay.

if you where to stay I assume this would mean you died in the physical realm?

I wonder how it works, our death, would they be allowed (i mean are there universal rules entities have to work to?) to consensually terminate your physical existence and keep your soul / essence there? are there rules about this sort of thing? is it a power they even have, would they gain that power to terminate your physical life when you consent?

Maybe you could revisit the place on a further trip and spend longer there?

Have you tried / been able to get back there on other trips ( if you have had any since of course? )

Thanks for sharing the story! I found it fascinating!

peace

I am jealous! I just posted my less than ideal first trip report. I learned a lot, but I am very envious of the blissful places others have gotten to w dmt. Thanks for sharing.

I've read that caapi alkaloids act as a/the "guide" when exploring; regarding aya...that the caapi vine is the "teacher" or "mother" and the DMT takes you to that strangely familiar place. Some native Peruvian woman mentioned that on another site. You must of been totally gone. Awesome. I really wonder how much of a difference MAOIs make. You say 15 minutes and that you smoked the caapi. If you ate the caapi, you may of tripped for much longer.

Every time I've launched, no matter what, I have never felt like anything was guiding me. I always try to read the hieroglyphs but could never translate. I don't why but I always see some kind of alien writing, never aliens though. Unless the aliens are made up of the self transforming components. To me it doesn't look like anything I've ever seen though, so for all I know it could be aliens. I never seen anything anthropomorphic in other words. Don't want to either for some reason, because that is something I've seen before.

I can't seem to multi-quote, maybe it's because I'm still a seedling ?

I'm not sure about rules for entities and the powers of life and death. I hadn't really thought of it from a different perspective other than my own.

I did try to revisit that "place" again twice and it didn't happen. I think having too much expectation as to where the trip will lead can work to a certain extent but now I just relax and let it take me where it wants to go.

None of my other experiences have been anything like that one BTW, they have been a lot like being immersed in your avatar with a constantly changing colour scheme and form.

I hear a sound that seems like a someone singing to me in language I've never heard and it sounds like it's being played on a sythesiser - if that makes any sense.

Sometimes I've seen glimpses of elf like beings or a meditating Buddha as a central theme since the one I wrote about, but nothing extraordinary.
