So, I watch adventure time. Alot. Rolling eyes
As I'm sure at least.. a few of you do as well.
The story that Pendelton ward has made, is quite amazing to say the least. Granted, I do love to get baked and watch a few episodes,Razz it's a pretty big world. And I'm not the only one interested.

He's been opening up the story as a whole alot more recently. Talking a little about the war that went down, and ruined the previous world, and probably helped create this one, The land of Ooo.

This new episode.. went pretty crazy, to say the least. Going all out talking about their multi dimentional universe. How it's possible to jump between dimentions, different ways. And the oldest dimention, which produces time waves, felt by every other.

They zoomed in on the earth, from the dimentional plane, and.. lol, wow.

He's getting pretty damn detailed with all this. And.. it's only a kids program.
I can't get enough of it! And I think that's just another reason why.Rolling eyes

Oh yeah, gotta love it! Thumbs up Haven't seen the newest one yet, sounds good.

It really is pretty deep for a kids show. And of course there's that one episode where Finn directly references DMT, and they do the infinite zoom showing the fractal nature of things going from atomic to cosmic scale. Awesome.

I have been strangely drawn to this cartoon. It runs in loops on justin.tv. It is definitely different, but I like itSurprised

I've been watching for a while too, justin.tv is also a regular site for me. Here's the clip where Finn mentions DMT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTfJifUqq54 . Love this show, very interesting references being made all the time.

I knew it! Razz

Now, for those of you that really enjoy this little gem, for the love of glob, find that new episode when it becomes available, hit play, sit back, and just let them take over your mind, and blow it away.

Big grin

Ohh, Adventure time.

Woah and I just watched the new episode and they had an awesome thing on alternate dimensions/realities/multiverse and portals, etc. connecting these...very cool. This show seems to be written for more than small children. Very happy

Exactly. That one part.. where the book goes off, and explains everything to you.. Kids wouldn't really follow something like that. I wouldn't think.. anyways.
Worm holes.. natural, and otherwise. Inter-dimentional travel. Multiple dimentions/realities. Even at 16 or 17 that probably would have gone enough over my head.
Simply amazing stuff.

AND THEN AT THE END!?!?
It reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting.. or something. THAT, just blew my mind to peices.
WHERE ARE THEY TAKING THIS?

I just saw the last episode and you're totally right, it's an epic one for sure! Can't wait to see where they go with it in the next one.

This is from an older episode, but I love it. Smile

It really is, isn't it? I had to check the channel, just to see if I was still watching the same tv show I thought I was.

I've always loved the Tart Toter. He seems a little on the crazed side, but.. when he dropped that line, I knew he was just an old hippie at heart. lol.

This reminds me of one of the newer episodes, when they awaken locked up in the nightosphere. They're both all groggy and whatnot, from being knocked out and just waking up, Finn's like "Uhhhhh, dude.. what happened last night?" and Jake says "Mayhaps we drank juice from the elder toad."
Always struck me as out there.. ha.

And, the episode where LSP teaches them both how to enter Lumpy Space...
By going up to a already trippy looking frog sitting atop a mushroom, saying one or two words, and the toads eyes go all swirly, and he licks them up, like flies, and they shrink down into him, and everything trips out for a second, and pop, they're in Lumpy Space. A crazy, trippy cloud world.

That show never ceases to amaze me. Love

Ha, yeah I thought of the mushroom toad gateway too when they mentioned different ways to go between dimensions. They've also said there was a war between rainicorns and dogs over the "crystal dimensions", which I guess the rainicorns won and is where they live. I hope they go more into that dimension at some point. Rainicorns FTW!

LOL! Laughing

I haven't seen that little clip before. That's to good.

And you bring up quite the point. I almost didn't realize that. They do mention many different dimentions throughout the whole series. And that toad, is one of the 'man(Or Cloud)-made' entrances, I bet. Maybe even 'natural'.

So far, the ones I can come up with
The 'normal' dimention
The crystal dimention(Now, weither this one is the same one that Tree Trunks came to power in, when she ate that apple, or if it's where the rainicorns live, who knows. I'm betting they're each their own)x2
Lumpy Space
Maybe the Nightosphere, since they need to chant and create portals to enter and exit.
Maybe even the Land of the Dead, where they go from time to time, and see that, death guy, who looks like he has a horse skull. And where space lincoln goes to save jakes soul, after he kills him, accidentally.

And, whoever those guys are that live on Mars.. Whatever kind of stuff they can do. That one jokster, that they banned on earth. Whatever he does.. he can bend time/space.

* Just realized that this was the season finale.. I think.
No more episodes until next year. Crying or very sad
That's tooooooooo long to waaaaaiiiiittt.
**And I love that damn creepy horse. With that poo brain.
Lady Rainicorn always intrigued me the most. Even more so when we find out her parents don't actually speak Japanese. But when we do understand her, she seems to be rather smart. I loved the description of how she moved through the air.
Why do you speak Japanese?!
And why do you say dirty things to Jake that we can't understannnd?!? lol

Heh, yeah I found that double rainbow clip pretty randomly, I don't think it's from any episode. But it's pretty hilarious if you've seen that other video it's spoofing.

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about the tree trunks crystal thing, good point. I'm not sure if that's the same crystal dimension or not. Interesting. I'd say the nightosphere and the land of the dead are definitely some of the other ones, and lumpy space. Can't really think of any others offhand. Except maybe the place where they go in "Wizard", when the skeleton guy opens a gateway to somewhere for them to get their "free magic powers" from Bufo.

Which brings up something that's kind of bugged me for awhile... usually they tie everything up pretty nicely, but in that episode they got all these cool magic powers, and at the end, they still had them. But then they've never used them again. I guess if it WAS another dimension they went to, those powers might only work there? Never thought about it that way until now but that would explain it.

I might be remembering wrong but I think rainicorn's parents might have been wearing translators, similar to the one that gave Lady the old man voice in "my two favorite people". Dammit now I'm going to have to go find that episode and check. Smile

Looks like you're right about that being the season finale. Bummer. What a cliffhanger. If they get cancelled before the next season I may have to go run amok.

Yep, they both wore translators. Very happy For whatever reason, rainicorns speak Korean.

I thought of another possible dimension.. there's a spirit realm where Finn was trapped in "beyond this earthly realm", the place that Ice King can see all the time with his "wizard eyes". Hm. Is a realm different than a dimension? Confused

Also there's those "door lord" guys from "what was missing", that's got to be some kind of dimension hopping trick they do.

Ha, you're just like me. If I don't quite remember a certain detail from whichever episode, I'll neeeeed to go back and watch it. Just to solidify things. I don't even think I noticed they both had translators on too. It's quite strange, lol, how rainbow unicorns got stuck with Korean, somehow.
Aaand.. how Jake can understand her so well. But, I think he just knows korean.

Crazyhorse wrote:

I was going to bring that place up too! And totally his 'nasty old wizard eyes'. That.. that got me every time. It's like he's tripped one to many times, and things just got stuck that way. It's even better.. thinking about that in the way later episodes. When he's off doing whatever it is he's doing, he can still see all that crazy stuff with those wizard eyes.
But.. it sort of does make sense. It could totally be another dimention. Like.. a sort of spirit world, or something.

Crazyhorse wrote:

Those are the guys from Mars! The one door lord, maybe that's actually his name, I can't remember. I'll need to watch that episode again.. just to be concrete. lol. The episode "Sons of Mars".
I think he can alter reality/dimentions some how. These doors he can open, that lead to strange, other wordly places. More specifically, the episode you mention, what was missing, and that door he made as well.
Little pockets of dimentional warp? For lack of a better term.

And.. ya know.. That's always bugged me too. I started to forget about it, with all the crazy things going on(in adventure time) lately, but you bring up quite the good point. Usually, things are brought over, through episodes. Plot lines and such. He does have a really good way of pulling everything together. Everything 'making sense', for that world. But, those powers, we never see Jake or Finn use them, ever again. Not even a mention of them. I'm fairly certain that frog, bufo, pops up from time to time, with all his little tadpoles in his neckpouch thing. But no magic.
Maybe that'll come out eventually, when/if finn has to battle the lich in this.. dimention without time. Or, dimention of all time.
That.. is just another little thing that strongly resonates with dmt for me.

When, in Sons of Mars, Space Lincoln says something to jake, who the door guy, switched(?) places with, about, either I can lock you up, imprision you for all eternity, or something, OR, I can tap you with this wand, and send your spirit into the abbysmal plane of the universe, to re-evaluate your previous existance, and see everything and nothing, for ever.
He.. really goes in deep, with what'll happen to Jakes soul once he sends him off. THAT, reminds me almost exactly of a dmt trip, looking all time, floating in a sea of nothingness and everything. All time/space/thought is one.

Sometimes, I think this show's a little to deep, even for me.Big grin

Actually, I'm pretty sure they're different things. Magic Man (and the other guys from mars) have shown up in several episodes, but the door lords have only been mentioned in one AFAIK ( "what was missing" ). Magic Man and his people all wear little pointy hats, Door Lords have a little door on the top of their heads. MM seems to be the only mars guy that causes trouble, but door lords apparently ALL like to cause trouble. PB said she tries to keep them all locked up "but they keep escaping... because they're door lords." Razz

Heh yeah that was awesome. And Jake says something like "Yeah, OK that second thing sounds pretty good!" Thumbs up I also love the way he was so ready to meet his fate in the episode where he had the "croak dream" with the cosmic owl, and previewed his own death. He didn't want to escape, or try to change it, he was ready. Excited even.

It's pretty damn good writing for a kids show for sure! But then I probably watch way too many cartoons for someone my age lol. Hell for anyone. I don't even have to look that up to know you're 100% right. With the confidence in that post, that itself tells me.Razz
So, these Magic Men, definitly have their own little tricks, and hacks to jump between/make new peices of dimentions, to hide in. Or, for the stuff they stole.

And jake, almost embracing his inevitable end with space lincoln. That's just to good. You can almost tell he's really interested in what exactly lincoln means by, "traveling the universe with only your conscienceness for all eternity". I'd be a little intrigued as well, I can't lie.
Big grin

HA! I totally know what you mean with that one. People expect me to be watching cartoons, because that's usually all they'll see on that tv when it's on. That, or some science/space/animal shows. I love those, just as much as any good cartoon.
I haven't seen Zim in such a long time. Crying or very sad
And XAVIER!? At first.. I was blown away at how.. almost undescribable that show is. Didn't like it the first time I saw it. Gave it another chance, and I couldn't get enough of it.. lol.
Perfect Hair Forever.. that show's just.. sooooo so weird. Like a mash up.. of everything. That you may or may not know of.
Superjail.. is.. thee, best.
Squidbillies have definitly grown on me. lol. Didn't really find it entertaining at first either, but, after time, I got into the actual "story..", if you can call it that.

Tom Goes to the Mayor. I love the things tim and eric do. Not everything.. but quite a bit. They're.. just them.

There's this Disney channel show, called Gravity Falls. It's disney channel.. so I didn't really give it a chance. I don't really like anything they play, ever. But.. that show? It's quite a ways out there. Their Great Uncle Stan, or, Gruncle Stan, seems to possibly be a member of the Illuminati.(I"M NOT DROPPING THAT NAME FOR CONSPRITORIAL CAUSES, they poke to much fun at it) The town they live in, is either haunted, or.. something. Because, they have to fight crazy monsters, Bigfoot, Time Traveling business, and.. alllll sorts of other strange things.
If you haven't seen that yet, try it out. It's actually pretty good.

I don't want to derail your thread by getting too far off into other show tangents, but Xavier and PHF in particular seemed worth mentioning here since they're some of the most psychedelic shows I've ever seen. Surprised I've watched PHF either on the comeup or comedown of almost every mushroom trip I've ever had. It only takes like an hour to watch the whole series. But it's so awesomely hilarious and bizarre. Total anime parody (I watch a lot of anime too.)

I didn't care for squidbillies at first either, but a good friend was obsessed with it and played the DVDs over and over again so much at work that I got hooked, and started seeing what it's really about, underneath all the stereotypes and bigotry. Very happy One of the episodes from last season ("squidbilly manfishin'" ), I'd almost swear was about DMT on one level, while also being more obviously about immigrant labor on another. And even more obviously a parody of the show "hillbilly handfishing" on another. But then I was coming down from mushrooms and also on a low dose of DMT when I first saw it so I might have been reading too much into it. Wink

But sherrif gets rescued from drowning and says this:

"They spoke to me.
Their society was... it was PERFECT!
Someday, I'm gonna go back
And get paid for all the work I did."

Sounds like something someone might say after returning from hyperspace to me. Thumbs up

I didn't really care much for Superjail at first, but the guy with the squidbilleis obsession turned me on to that as well. Come to think of it he's also the first one who told me aboout Adventure Time too. Laughing 12 oz mouse is also really trippy, if you can get past the crude drawing style. Probably one of the most inexplicable things ever aired. Really I'm into pretty much everything Williams Street does. It's like I AM their target audience. ATHF, Frisky Dingo, Sealab 2021... all good stuff. Archer is great too, just not so trippy. It's not Williams Street but it's written by the same guy as Frisky Dingo. Similar style but different, and both are high-larious.

Haven't seen gravity falls yet, I don't have cable and I guess project free TV doesn't keep up with that one. But I'll see if I can find it elsewhere!

Anyway, sorry for the diversion, now back to your regularly scheduled halluciation! Razz
