Hey brothers, someone of you experienced the vision of the ambient with eyes closed? I explain myself better: this happened more than twice for me, that after a trip, after 3/4 hrs i went to sleep, like everyone i get the iris adapted at darkness, and only once arrived at this condition, if I close my eyes, i see through!! Movin the head, standing up, it's all dark of course but i can see the shapes of the objects! i would know if someone of you already had this feeling, and how, and first of all what you think! Looks like an illusion, but it's so real! Love it, and it comes even with low doses (30mg) but only after hours after the trip. I noticed the hyperspace is particularly rounded when this happens, purprlish, pinky, glittering, )) Cherrrszz brothers. Ps. Edit add: i oftenly live dreams "under controll" for 3/4 days if i use shrooms or lsd. Can this be correlated somehow? Not all who wander are lost

I've never experienced the particular phenomenon that you describe, but one time on a deep pharma journey after smoking DMT at the peak, I closed my eyes, but I felt I could still see out of my eyelids. I don't know if maybe I had such poor motor control that they were ajar slightly allowing a filtering and overlap of the physical world and hyperspace. On a more recent occasion I smoked DMT and was in the throws of a heavy breakthrough, and I was seeing the that I was in and my body sitting in it from so many different holographic angles at once in this full-fledged OBE. Happened to me & a friend of mine. "In fighting and in everyday life you should be determined though calm. Meet the situation without tenseness yet not recklessly, your spirit settled yet unbiased. South london. Gang territory. Hard Techno, a scene that has been over run by crime for a decade in this part of the world. a huge black man in an army jacket pulls a small bottle from a hidden pocket. We lick up drops of liquid from puddles dropped on their hands. A violent crash fills the room with sound as a window is broken. shards of glass slide across the floor as a gang of 20 or so hoodlums enters through a window to avoid the entry fee.
flash forward a few hours and there i am. dosed to the eyeballs on my first taste of acid. it would take a book to describe the time warps and headtrips going on. I hear from a security guard that we are locked in. there had been threat of a clash between two gangs, and one had managed to get in. the doors were barred to keep the other out to prevent any weapon use. I realised that the lads i had seen come in through a window could well have been avoiding the search rather than the fee.
i walked into a room blaring agressive jungle music. bad vibes. serious gang vibes. looking in one of these guys would meen trouble, but i needed to get to the other side.
Like Luke in return of the jedi i decided to get to the other side with my eyes closed. the room became a wireframe. everyone in it moveing around like untextured 3d modles. i floated through the crowded room like i had the shoes of a fairy, dodging people left and right. i got to the other side with such ease that i had to poke my eyelid to make sure my eyes had actualy been shut! i took another look back at the steaming vibes of agression fuming from these digital rude boys and moved on
ill type up the whole story some time because it has some cool parts like getting mugged, turning back time, retrieving the wallet and fastforwarding time to a point of safety, or living the same hour repeated over and over about 6 or 7 times.
but anyway, yeah i saw with closed eyes once lol

I get this effect strongly and consistently on iboga, and in a really clear fashion. Also now sometimes get it in the dark lying in bed prior to sleep.

I've had it happen on moderate to higher doses of harmalas, where even with my eyes closed and sometimes in a dreamlike state, I'm "seeing" the room or objects in the room through my eyelids. It's very weird, although it seems to be an accurate representation, not an imagining of things being where they are. But you just need to know what to look for as it´s not exactly the same as seeing with your eyes open. I cannot, for instance, tell how many fingers somebody put´s up with closed eyes (unless it´s realy close to my face) but i can easily see whenever something or someone is moving. Even distant objects. It could be that it´s a sort of sonar effect: your brain making an image of your environment, based on the reflections of all the sounds.

This has happened to me on a couple of occasions actually! I just thought i was going insane! lol. I really noticed it when i was really tired, sitting on my couch prior to going to bed... usually after earlier having some DMT of some sort... But for me it was extremely vivid. I would have my eyes completely closed but could see everything in the room with 100% clarity. It was like i was seeing directly through my closed eyelids like they were merely lenses on a pair of glasses. I thought perhaps i was visualizing it from memory, but the first time it happened i started looking around the room and was even able to see the pepsi can that i had in my right hand. This is an extremely bizarre phenomenon! Thanks for sharing! Coinci-Transcendentalism

On certain days I'll get this with just closing my eyes fora few minutes. I'll start to see shifting outlines of objects that would be in my field of vision open-eyeed. There were a few times where this would happen when I'd be laying on my bed, and I'd manage to make it out my bedroom door, through the hallway and to the bathroom.
Always have to go with it and believe what your seeing, otherwise all is lost and it fades as quickly as it began.

I’ve never had this whilst under the effects of psychedelics, but it occasionally happens as I’m drifting off to sleep. It’s quite odd to realise you can open your eyes and exactly the same thing is in front of you. I’ve only every had this happen in my room, I wonder whether the fact that that environment is well lodged in my memory has anything to do with the effect.

The brain probably uses all the info available to it, to create an image of the world. Or at least more information than we are counsciously aware of. I mean, look at people who´re realy good at football, baseball or tennis. They don´t even need to look at the ball anymore, no matter how fast it´s going, nor at their own feet, hands, racket or stick, to be able to hit the ball in such a way that it does exactly what they want it to do. Even a ball with aerodynamic spin-effects. Their brain just calculates the projectory of the ball, without any counscious effort. And anybody can learn how to do this. That´s pure brainpower.

Something just like that happened to me, for a second there I thought I was remote viewing or something. Weird trip, I thought I was just dreaming but then I realized I'm awake and I could see the layout of something that looked similar to my room. I could see the lamp in my room and also the chair that was directly in front of the lampshade. Quickly after a few minutes I snapped out of that trance and the scenes from the room started changing like fractals or something ,just pure grid mode blue, proportionate and symmetrical. Not to mention I had just gotten done drinking heavily that night, I blacked out so I figured I was flashing back.... Maybe. This post changes everything.

Back in early high school when i was experimenting with dxm i had it happen a few times. I don't recall ever seeing with my eyes closed on other psychedelics, although i've heard of it happening to many people stalepixel wrote:South london. Gang territory. 120mg MDMA produces a similar effect in a shaded friend's room. I was able to identify figures and areas of the room that I was unfamiliar with as well as see through the palm of my hands when I placed my palms over my eyes. Also I was able to visually see 3D rotating figures of any non-specific visual I imagined after saying the word in my head such as a foot, a hand, a rabbit, etc (I was unable to see specific figures like friends). The ability to see through my hand looked very similar to this at a much more vague extent in the shaded room: MMPA attached the following image(s): f399pd.jpg (514kb) downloaded 153 time(s).

Trivia : Blindsight as a concept does not have to do with seeing with eyes closed, but by unconscious visual processing when the primary visual cortex is damaged and/or dysfunctional, but with eyes open. The observation lies in how another pair of structures in the midbrain is capable to detect moving objects (not their outlines) in a veridian localisation sphere, and receive location information for action (frogs extensively utilise this system to catch insects). Eyes still provide signal information to the brain, but not to where it goes to be manifested into conscious awareness. What is being described here is very close to the hypnagogic phenomenon sleep paralysis, where one can indeed "see" through their eyelids. However, it is theorised that we are indeed using the sensory memory of what we know about our environment and our recent exposure (such as "I know I have a pepsi in my right hand" ). Who knows? Extensive research is indeed warranted In theory, to induce a sleep paralysis at will, one needs to disrupt the current flow of sensory information that keeps telling us where we are in the environment, how our posture is, tactile information from limbs etc. To do this, one needs to lie down and as much as they can, inhibit sensory information. By default, wear a night mask that does not allow ANY light in, lie down horizontally on the back, straight hands with palms facing on bed, and earplugs. At this point, do not move, just breathe. Nothing else. Just focus without effort on the blackness, and wait. Do not even twitch a finger, if you do, the movement will signal the brain and arouse you, thereby bringing you back to square one and you have to start over. If you're patient enough (some people 20-30 minutes), an auditory vibration will start to be perceptible, and it's a rollercoaster after that. This also happens at very tired states or between sleep, where we slept so still that we indeed do not know where we are (like cases where we woke up in the middle of the night in our dark room, and we couldn't tell where we are facing or which side of the room the wall is, our brain simply does not have on-line information at that point, and we need to either use our arms blindly around to receive tactile information and remember where we are, or just turn on the light to receive visual information). Hope that was a bit helpful, if not, please chip in, I have always been fascinated with sensory deprivation and what we can "see" during. What you don't understand, you can make mean anything. - Chuck P.

Once I looked into the mirror and could see I had no eyes. Just two holes where my eyes should be. But that was a dream. A weird dream. ––––––
DMTripper is a fictional character therefore everything he says here must be fiction. I mean, who really believes there is such a place as Hyperspace!!
