So apparently the retinal pathways for vision influence cortical maps...

So looking at the images of these maps,

They look kind of familiar, especially the hexagon pattern....

Anyone else see something familiar.... in early stages spice journey....?

Can't say that I have seen any of those, although the other night I tested out my new machine with 10mg and noticed that when looking at the carpet if I moved closer there would be a circular bubble in the center of my vision that zoomed in faster/more than the rest of my vision outside the bubble.

I have a strong feeling that it was something to do with the way my eye works because the center bubble would stay in the middle of my vision no matter where I looked. Usually above 10mg visuals start to move independently regardless of where I turn my head.

The first place I read about this was here. It's pretty cool stuff.

Quote:
It is believed that the reason why these form constants appear has to do with the way the visual system is organized, and in particular in the mapping between patterns on the retina and the columnar organization of primary visual cortex. Concentric circles in the retina are mapped into parallel lines in visual cortex. Spirals, tunnels, lattices and cobwebs map into lines in different directions. This means that if activation spreads in straight lines within the visual cortex, the experience is equivalent to looking at actual form constants.
Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.
