Hello all. Thank you for having me, and thank you for such a wonderful community here. I feel at home.

I've been interested in spice for the past 12 years or so, but had not actually tried it until about a month ago. A friend had performed his first extraction and I sampled about 20mg (smoked) and felt a wonderful body-buzz and euphoria but did not have a breakthrough. It put the spark inside me though to perform my own extraction.

I'm familiar with other entheogens including LSA, LSD, Salvia, and psilocybin. After doing some research on extractions for the past two weeks I purchased a pound of MHRB and performed my first STB. I figured since I've had some fairly heavy journeys on LSD, Salvia, and psilocybin, and that I knew what 20mgs of spice would do that I was ready to jump into a breakthrough dose.

I carefully weighed out exactly 50mgs of my first extraction of my first pull and put it on top of a brass screen I had inserted into my glass piece. I lowered my lights, laid on my bed in a propped up position and lit the spice. It bubbled and vaporized almost immediately. I took in whatever vapour I could and held it. After a few seconds I exhaled and waited. Almost immediately my reality gradually shifted. I waited a few more seconds but nothing else happened. Mildy disappointed I decided to try to hit it one more time. There was no noticeable material left on the screen but I lit it and pulled anyway. This time I got a HUGE hit of vapour and held it in for about 5 seconds and then exhaled. I put the pipe down.

Almost immediately I heard this buzzing in my head which increased in frequency until it turned into four separate notes that seemed to be higher than what humans can hear, I would guess in the range of 20 - 30khz. Of course I have no way of proving this, but that's just what it seemed like to me. Coinciding with the buzzing frequency, my body started to buzz and resonate in sync with it and I felt a wave of euphoria wash over me. I closed my eyes and was immediately pulled into hyperspace.

My first impression was that I was shocked. But not in a bad way. I was shocked with how comfortable and real it felt. I was shocked with how beautiful it was. The thing that shocked me the most though was how familiar I was already with this space, but never knew it until this point. The fractals and the infinitely evolving patterns I had already seen before in Alex Grey's paintings. I thought to myself, "So this is what his paintings are all about! I finally understand!" Another thing that shocked me was how real it felt. It didn't feel like any psychedelic I had done before. It didn't feel as foreign as LSD. It wasn't terrifying like Salvia.

The most accurate representation of the space I settled into while I was there is this painting.

After being in this space for a few seconds and basking in the beauty of it I noticed something emerge out of the fractals in my left peripheral vision. It didn't morph and change like everything else. It just stayed there and observed me until I finally recognized it. When I actually realized that it was an intelligence that was observing me my immediate reaction was fear. I instinctually calmed myself down though and said in my head, "It's okay. I see you, and I'm not afraid". As soon as I completed this thought, the intelligence moved from my left side to my right side as if it was inspecting me. Then it moved directly in front of me and inserting what felt like its "beak" into my forehead and open its beak. The sensation was a bit odd, like a buzzing pressure. With its beak inserted into my forehead it began to show me its own patterns. It did not try to "speak" to me. I heard no voice or thoughts coming from it. I also felt no emotions from it. It did not express love or hate or any other emotion at all that I could recognize. It felt completely impartial as it was showing me its own images and patterns.

At this point I could feel I was starting to come down. It became more and more difficult to focus on what it was showing me. Eventually this image dissolved from my sight and I opened my eyes. My body buzzed and I felt completely at peace. "So this is the afterglow," I thought. It was beautiful. I laid in bed for about ten minutes staring at some residual OEVs on my walls and ceiling. I did my best to recall exactly what happened during my journey. I basked in the glow.

The only other things I can really mention about the experience was how real it felt. This space that I visited seemed so very close to our own reality. It felt like it was just one step over. The places that acid, mushrooms, and salvia took me all seemed so far away from our own reality compared to this. This place seemed so close. Like it was right on top of us, or right next to us.

The other thing I remember was there was "music" playing. It was four distinct notes that keep repeating. The tone sounded like a cross between a buzzing noise and a sitar. Almost like a synthetic or electronic sitar, but at a much, much higher frequency, outside of the range of human hearing.

So yeah, I guess I'm lucky that my first experience was a positive one. I've had some awful, awful trips before so if I ever have a bad one on DMT at I know it will only last for a few minutes.

I'll see you in hyperspace.
