Hello everyone. Yesterday something very weird and a little fucked up happened to me.
I'd been planning on taking my first "real" Pharma trip yesterday (freebase DMT with freebase Harmalas). However! Unbeknownst to me, that very morning, my mother-in-law decides to spray "RAID fogger MAX concentrated" in the garage, which is where I had been doing some of my extracting and storing some of my results!

Fast forward to that afternoon, around 5 pm I take the *tainted* Harmalas. 250 mg. Then half an hour later, I take 100 mg freebase DMT dissolved in lemon juice (so I guess citrate. also the DMT was luckily not stored with the harmalas and wasn't tainted.) not long after that, while I have some nausea from the alkaloids in my stomach, I am sitting in the living room and I hear my mother-in-law say that she sprayed that stuff in the garage...
I was literally like and not long after I purged a good amount of the DMT.

Even though I puked up alot of the dose, I must've kept some too because I was unmistakably having a low-medium pharma experience. I started freaking out a little bit and my heart was racing... I also had a pretty bad but transient headache. I didn't feel too bad other than the headache, but I was still rather concerned.... I did some research on this particular insecticide and the active toxin is Cypermethrin. Closely related to permethrin, which is a common flea poison. Cypermethrin is highly neurotoxic to invertebrates and fish, but is only somewhat toxic in mammals. The LD/50 in rats is In rats the LD50 can vary from 250 to over 4,000 mg/kg, depending on the solvent used to deliver the toxin (corn oil was the 250).

So I was a *bit* less worried having read that, but I still felt like I needed some more direct help. I called the company but they were closed, so I called the California poison control, telling them I ate some food that had been tainted. THe woman on the other end said that the product "wasn't that harmful" and I should be ok if I "wash my hands with soap and water" and drink water. I asked her about my heart rate being so high and she said I was probably nervous...

...oh yeah, lady, I forgot to mention that I'm TRIPPING BALLS right now!



Anyway, yeah so that's what happened to me yesterday. I feel ok, but I was already sick and cypermethrin suppresses the immune system so fuck. I also still have a nagging headache that neither cannabis nor naproxen can get rid of.


Oh yeah, while I was tripping yesterday I realized that the crowning achievement of western civilization has been the proliferation of toxic chemicals and other means of destroying life. This was increased when I walked in on a show about the Army using video games to "pre-train" children and get them interested in joining the army as well as Drone pilots who look like mindless killing machines crossed with video game addicts. And basically just seeing how advanced the military technology is today really freaked me the fuck out and caused another anti-civilization trip... which turned into a liberation trip... which turned into a personal therapy session trip...

But why did you leave the extraction containers and your products opened and exposed to dirt/dust/whatever instead of just closing a lid?

And how do you know for sure you werent just self-suggesting after you heard she did it? Do you know if she sprayed exactly where your stuff was?

....never mind a tendency of a lot of us around here including me to project catastrophe where there is none... self suggest indeed!

Endlessness: sadly enough the harmalas were in a dish drying from an h2O wash to get the sodium carb off. I should have put some sort of cover on it for sure... that will be in my procedure from now on. What is the best cover? Seran wrap? It seems like seran wrap would prevent airflow if one were trying to, say, dry alkaloids out - which is what I was doing. A layer or two of cheesecloth maybe? What have you used in the past?

And it was maybe 9 feet tops away from the sprayer. It can fumigate something like 150-200 cubic feet. There was a wall between them but I think the door was open... I don't think I self-suggested it, but I could have for sure... however I don't think I've been self-suggesting this headache that I've had all day...!

I am sorry for being overly harsh.

I just got done a week ago with a 6 week stay by my nosy, self-assuming mother-in-law. She would have thrown out half of our furniture if left to her own desires. I was so glad when she went home! Fortunately I have locked supply cabinets and tool boxes for my extraction tools, so she did not mess with that stuff.

We are staying at her house, but she's basically ok with all the extraction going on (suprisingly! this is one of the only places I have to do extractions at the moment!). She was totally within her rights to spray the nasty stuff (I wouldn't personally... just let the ugly recluses live I guess). I should have had it all covered.

I did a pull on some bark that had been tainted and the precipitation had some weird yellow gunk floating on the top. I fished it out and put it on my finger and it instantly turned into an oil. I was like GAH! and washed with soap... it was the cypermethrin I am sure.. needless to say I threw out that pull and the bark but I was like daamn as it was a rather fat pull...

I hate when stuff gets wasted!
