Well this topic is something I have been sort of "soul searching" for these last few days. I kind of want to cut to the chase and begin to talk about the subject. The title pretty much tells what I am going to be talking about.
So lets start with the idea of an Inner Universe. This seems to accompany many people with there thoughts regarding psychedelics, especially DMT. To be a psychonaut, one must blast of into space toward something inner. So what would an inner universe be composed of? Because to say that we have universes inside of us means one of two things to me. 1) That each of us are completely original from each other. Even if chemically and biologically we are similar. What we manifest into becomes something completely unique. Or, 2) That each of us live within different experiences of this Inner Universe. Like Earth is in a part of space, our minds are in a part of this universe. It is a constant thing, that we can explore. So therefore spiritual travel would be like traveling to different planets. The third possibility is an obvious one, and one that to me is not very hard to explain. It being very rational in my eyes. That is that the inner universe does not exist at all. We are combined as human beings, therefor we work the same way. This might sound like the second theory from above. But this difference is this. That we do not exist in different places, we all exist within the same spot as humans. And therefor experience the same. Causing our inner world to be the same.
This brings up something else. As put in the title "the common spirit within". What do I mean by this? This I am referring to a center point inside the conscious of man. Whether we are all different, or all be the same. There is a point in which life must manifest from. Even if this point is Nothing. We must spring forth and grow, like a plant. We develop. So what I am bringing into question is whether this point actually exists or not. But we will tackle this later. Given that this point exists, we must find out in what manner it exists. For if we are all the same and the inner universe does not exist, then this would be simple. This point of existence would be called Humanity, that which makes us human. But I find that this is not true, we all realize we are human. But this does not seem to be the case. For each person has different ambitions and so forth. Yes we can all say we are human, so what we come from is a very human thing, it could be humanity. But the only problem I have with this is that being human can mean so many things. Outside of being a biological and chemical machine, we can be very diverse creatures. To explain quickly how we can get over this biological barrier, we must take into consideration the intent of humanity. What is the intent that nature has in creating, in evolutionizing, this thing called humanity. To me the answer is that we are all different, therefor each serve a different evolutionary purpose. While animals who, such as dogs, are all under the evolutionary purpose of dogs. Nature creates dogs to be predators, for the are a natural predator. Dogs exist within a very limited evolutionary purpose so to speak. While humans, on a scale of pragmatic purpose, are created to serve many different purposes. Physical and metaphysical. So this abolishes the idea that we all, when traveling into this inner universe, will end up in the same place. This is important because that means that the inner universe does exist, and that there are many truths. But that we shall not delve into. What we are still looking at is whether this common spirit exists within a common domain, or exists outside and is foreign to the other. While each point might not be the same, and sprout from humanity. They can still exist withing the universe of humanity, just in different places. My inner spirit may be earth, while yours is pluto. This does not mean they are the same. They just coexist within the same reality. Or each point could be completely alien to the other, meaning that we cannot help each other in our journeys to the self. Because it means that each person has needs and priorities that others cannot understand.
So given what we have stated so far, the quick answer to give would be that in regards to the inner universe. Option number two (first paragraph) would be the one to chose. This is because the inner universe has to in some way play along with the physical world. We are slaves to what we were born to. This means that on the most primal level. The level of the subconscious universe, we are all the same. Or exist within the same domain. We are still foreign to others, but what we experience is just traveling into what other people call normal. This normality is what we call our "planet" in this vast domain. And when we reach into something that is strange, say a new culture for example. We are traveling to a new planet in this universe.
Now a thought had occurred to me, almost in the form of an emotion. What if the universe inside of us, needs to common spirit? What if it is infinite? This would allow so much more possibility. And take away many constraining beliefs. This would take away the idea of common spirit, or that we come from a root. We are infinite forms of possibility, if this makes sense. The introspective world is not limited by any rational thought, because it encases rationality. When I look in I usually imagine that all theses lines go from my outer edge to my inner circle. All connecting at the same point. But what if there is no outer edge or point to connect to? This means metaphysically, spiritually, we are infinite. And we can achieve any possibility. Of course this seems like such a simple idea. But given if this is true, it takes away everything I have spoken about above. And what I have said above hold value to me. So how must we compromise the idea of finite and infinite? Because if we are each infinite, then there is no point to work toward, and we are completely foreign to each other.
I don't think I really have a solution to this now. These are just some thoughts I have been having and thought I would share with the nexus! Anyone have any comments or ideas regarding this? I know it could easily all be a bunch of bs, but I thought some people might find it interesting. Sorry for the long post!
