Two things to keep in mind:

1) The New Testament was written in Greek even though the language of Jesus was Aramaic. The Greeks used their letters as numbers- so each Greek letter has a numeric value. Therefore, any word, verse or any combination of words in the New Testament can be added up to a numeric value. It just so happens that the Greek Letters that make up the name that is rendered as "Jesus" in English add up to 888. 888 is the value of the name of Jesus in the Greek. This practice of adding up numerical values of words is called Gematria.

2) English Gematria is a little different. It is base 6. So A=6, B=12, C=18 and so on and so forth.

To understand the 888 Essay, you must know that every combination of "WORDS IN CAPS" add up to 888 using the English Gematria system.

The parallels are quite obvious.

Now to consider- what are the chances? Is there something "higher-dimensional" going on here or can we write it all off as a "fluke"? You decide.

Wow. is all I can say! This post bears extreme personal significance in my life right now.
