I've been growing Salvia for a couple of years now since aquiring a couple of clones out of idle curiosity...and of course have fallen in love with these delightful plants companions as I've got to know them
This year at the beginning of July, I randomly planted a couple of cuttings in a container in a shady corner of the garden - and in a couple of months they became super-Salvias! Thse plants love the outdoors - my indoor plants have been badly affected by insect attacks, but the outdoor ones just seem to take this in their stride. I harvested all the main leaves about a month ago...and my plants have grown a load of new ones thanks to the warm autumn (one of the plants is now taller than I am!). Today I noticed that they're now developing flower buds!!!
Wow!!
This is in SE UK.
I'm so delighted!
