swim attempted an innovation in his changa making methods, which failed. So to save the alkaloids (spice/harmalas) from this failed changa, he redissolved them in vinegar (as well as a whole bunch of other plant stuff from other herbs he used in the changa, no doubt), and now he's contemplating the best path to take from here. He was thinking of precipitating the magic from the acetic solution using sodium carbonate, but since he was unable to find any info on the pka of THH, he's unsure if he'll be able to get it back this way and doesn't want to risk losing it. He also considered just evaporating the whole solution using heat to hopefully boil off the acetates, redissolving in acetone, and then adding to another changa.
Any thoughts on the best way to handle this scenario?
