For some reason lately when I take LSD, I get these backaches that can be quite distracting from the experience. I don't buy into the whole "it's in your spine" nonsense, so does anyone have any information/theories as to why they seem to only occur with this substance for me? Also if anyone has any tips to deal with such back pain, they would be much appreciated "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

Is it possible you are normally sitting in a bad position or making wrong movements in daily life and they actually just become more evident during the acid experience?
Also maybe natural lsd vasoconstriction has something to do? Though im not sure how that could lead into a muscle-like pain in a specific area like the back..
I guess some people will put in question whether your LSD is pure or not, suggesting that impure LSD can create backaches, but to me, until someone has reasonable evidence that some impurity typically present in LSD samples causes this effect (and I've never read anything similar), I would say this is a pretty useless speculation.
Did anybody else take the same substance and had the same effects without you mentioning it before?

I have experienced this with 3 grams of cubensis... In muscles surrounding the middle of the spine. This is quite weird and unpleasant, but not too distracting or unbearable. I guess it could be that there is so much energy coming from that area in this experience that it feels as pain, or it could be an opening of some sort of blockage... However I'm not sure about it, but this has happened twice already. Strenghtening back muscles might help... What part of your back aches?
Anyway, the spine is central in nervous system, so when you take this stuff, it could be that it moves some energies in unusual manner which can cause pains, but at the same time it could be opening "spinal centers", who knows...

I have neck problems , and have had pain too . my Guess is that its from two things :
Being more careless about how i sit , so i may sit in a bad position and cause it come one. and Possibly being tense, from having my mind blown ,haha
Maybe go to a physiotherapist or chiropractor , and see if you have any underlying problems.
I know just stretch beforehand

Just crack your back/neck? I do it a lot when I'm on lsd. 01:13:08 ‹Ellis DEmpty› I met the people living in my head... I disturbed them while they were sitting down at the table.... They were as shocked as I was!

That actually could happen to some people. However, I wouldn't worry about back's condition if it only happens during acid trip. If it becomes too disturbing I would just stop using that stuff. I think it's most likely because of the overload on nervous system or something of that sort.

Yeah, it's not just the back, but the muscles around the ribs too. I think it might be from muscle tension. Also for some bizarre reason, it seems nearly impossible to crack my back on acid. I dunno if I'm just not perceiving it, or what's going on "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein
