Been using Ace brand naptha for a while its been totally consistant just bought some that smells totally different. It smells like a different solvent it has an ammonia-like odor to it that seems to remain after evaporation . I also had a batch of spice come out a greenish color for the first time ever.

is it posssible that this naptha is bad or they put something else in it?

Perhaps the bottle you bought was something someone returned to the store after using; similar to how people will try to return motor oil bottles filled with their old motor oil.

I would NOT smoke that stuff

dumped the whole works. Back to the drawing board. started from scratch with everything.

I had a moment where i thought bout going back to the store with it but decided that was a bad idea.
A total setup trying to explain the different solvent smells to store clerk.

Location: Not separate from the rest of the universe. So, everywhere.
They could have added an anti-rust agent, which is commonly blue as in Coleman White Gas Fuel (which is bluish, not actually white). Yellow plant oils or DMT N-oxide plus blue anti-rust agent yields green spice.
