Think about it this way: You are being put in a position where you are weak, where you are reminded of your own mortality, the limits of your body. This is an extremely beneficial position to be in, because you can learn about yourself, about your weaknesses, about your endurance of difficult situations. You are given an opportunity to test how calm and concentrated you can get even with nasty body effects trying to sway you.
If ayahuasca was all sweet tasting and only resulted in beautiful and fun trips, it wouldn`t nearly have the same power of transformation as it does in this way. I don't know if you saw my second post but I have pretty bad acid reflux disease so the last thing I need to be doing is purging hence my post asking if we know what causes the purge and how to get around that. I also made note that Im very sensitive to nausea and that I purge throughout the whole experience making it completely Not beneficial as I cannot even recall much of the experience due to the amount of times purging occurred and ruined the experience, when there was no fluid left it was just dry heaving the rest of the time. I really could not take anything away from that other than I'm pretty good at purging In my experience I gained nothing from purging. Not saying others don't gain something but in my case I didn't Thanks anything posted buy this account is 100% fiction

What is the cause of this reflux? Maybe the extreme nausea is related to something in your eating habits, some sensitivity to an ingredient present in your diet, which ayahuasca exhacerbates/emphasizes ? Personally I used to always get reflux but it was mostly related with drinking milk, which I found out by chance after stopping drinking milk for a while and never having it again (except when trying it again). Eating heavy at night doesn`t help either. Not saying that`s your case, but maybe something analogous. You could use this opportunity to investigate into it That being said, I think whole/powdered (not tea) ginger is your best bet as far as natural commonly found remedies for nausea that can potentially work with psychedelics.

I assume it's hereditary but aside from that I'm not to sure what causes it but it seems to more constant than I'd like, and my diet is quite clean I would say, I don't eat fast food and try to only eat "clean" meats such as grilled chicken, usually my drink of choice is water, my diet varies but is pretty clean in my opinion, ie low fat/grease, low gluten, low sodium ect. Anything that's pretty sweet really doesn't sit well with me. But yea I would guess the acid reflux disease has something to do with being easily nauseated too. Also a side note when I was younger I had a poor diet but even when that changed the reflux was still there leading me to believe it was genetic also because most of one side of my family suffers from it. And I'll give the ginger a try!! Thanks for the idea, also I had read somewhere else that orange essential oil is good for blocking nausea ? Can any body confirm this ? anything posted buy this account is 100% fiction

I can't speak of orange essential oil, but I have had great results with lemon essential oil. Usually a little bit of lemon essential oil and a small capsule of powdered ginger will alleviate a tremendous amount of nausea caused by psychedelic plants/ substances for me. It would make sense that orange essential oil would work too, since it is also in the citrus genus and has some similarities in its chemical makeup.
