Hey all.I thought some of you might like to hear this, and in turn I would like to hear if anything like this has happened to any of you. Just now while meditating I actually retrieved a repressed or forgotten memory, the thought of which fills me with anxiety and hatred. I was pondering my past psychedelic experiences, and the memory of an unintentional, unexpected, and completely unwanted LSD trip filled my head. This was the most terrifying trip of my life.

It was a hot Friday evening,just after dinner, in the summer of 2008. After a long hot day at work, a coworker and I decided to meet at our local pub for a couple of beers. We were playing pool with crooked sticks, on a table with dead rails and a leaning back corner, when I heard a voice call my name. Missing my already doomed shot, I turned to see someone I had not seen since high school, more than seven years earlier.

Now this person, we will call him Satan,was someone who I had shared three of my first LSD experiences with. I asked what he had been up to, then abandoned the impossible pool game and brought him back to our table. We were the ONLY THREE in the pool room.

We chatted and caught up, and laughed and remembered old times. My coworker said that he had to break the seal, and as happens when drinking beer, I realized I had to also. I laughed and asked Satan,"Can you watch our stuff?." He agreed and my coworker and I headed for the head.

When we came back, Satan was collecting his things, and said " Hey man, I gotta head out." I said "Ok, well good to see you man,take it easy." He gave me a mischievous smile, and left. I thought this smile was odd, but I just figured he was off to get involved in some other kind of debauchery somewhere else. We finished our half beers, and ordered two more.

As we talked and drank our beers, and griped about work, I began to feel light headed. This was not the usual heavy fog of alcohol, and I thought I might be sick. As I stood up, I screamed. Although it had been more than 5 years since I had taken LSD,The feeling was unmistakable, like jolts of buzzing electricity shooting up my brainstem, then spreading in warm waves over top of my brain. I lurched over and vomited on the floor, and as I heaved,spinning flowers seared my vision. I looked across to my wide eyed coworker and as the room began to melt, the electric jolts turned a constant stream of terror. This was not right. Was the beer bad? Is this a "Flash back"? Is this death? A million negative questions filled my head,trying to explain this.I stumbled and fell, and the wrought iron table stands and chair legs seemed to be a dark and forbidding forrest.From behind the trees came black horrible troll creatures with burning red eyes.I felt something lifting under my arms, and realized it was my coworker trying to help me up. As I stood, all of the tables and chairs began to float and circle one another. The walls were flowing down into the swirling pool that was the floor. As I looked at my coworker, his face was green and his eyebrows were darting all over his forehead.By this time the bargirl had made her way into the pool room, and I just blurted out "I'm sorry, I'm on acid. We have to go." My coworker hurriedly helped me out of the bar, And upon stepping outside, the evening sun blinded me. I don't remember anything after that, except looming ten foot tall emergency room doctors, wandering blind and lost in a black void with my own screams laughing at me,and coming to eight hours from the start, huddled in the corner of my bedroom shaking and crying. Had I not taken acid in the past,and realized what was happening to me, or had a concerned friend to help me, I shudder to think what my fate might have been.

Needless to say, if I ever see Satan again, I will be much less hospitable.

So many times people will say oh yea it's LSD and it's 2c, nbomes and other not as researched and safe chemicals.

Also, mixing beer and psychedelics is just a bad idea.

I am absolutely sure this was LSD. It was definitely a higher dose than I had ever taken on my own, but the rise was exactly the same. I wonder what the dosage actually was, to come on in about ten minutes and then cause me to black out.

Probably wasnt LSD man. If it came on in 10 minutes it would have to be a massive dose, milligrams worth, and you would have had some divine connection likely. Did you have any such interspace connection? It was likely something else from your description.

When my coworker took me to emergency, although I don't remember anything, they did a tox screen on me and it was determined to be LSD. Apparently they sent me home, as long as my coworker promised he would babysit me. My coworker was still with me when I came down.
But like I said, I have no memory of the trip beyond the first three minutes, and until today I had no memory of the event at all. I may well have had a divine connection, but I simply don't recall.

Sounds like a rough ride, sorry to hear about your misfortune.

the name you picked for your friend, Satan. It seems to fit the story and his nature well, he tortured you mentally and spiritually.

^ And guys, I really don't thing someones description of their experience on drugs is evidence for you to state explicitly what drug he did or didnt consume.

Unless you have like, atomic spectra vision internet superpowers or something.

It sounds like he consumed a pretty high dose of some psychedelic drug, at that dosage is pretty difficult to differentiate one from another, you certainly couldn't differentiate it for him.

Wow, it's a shame that Satan had ever been exposed to psychedelics. It's a very sociopathic thing to dose some unaware. Unfortunately, people like that as much as anything else keep hallucinogens illegal by using them as a weapon for what ever twisted reasons they have.

Did the people at the hospital at least treat you well? Or did they have an aire of ,"Sure you were dosed unaware," while condescendingly assuming that you dropped acid yourself and the trip got too intense?

The hospital staff seemed genuinely concerned, from what my coworker told me. They gave me something to try to bring me down, possibly a high dose of vitamin C? They also contacted the police.

I've only ever experienced a decline with LSD experiences.

1st time was great,

2nd time was ok,

3rd and consecutive times were like train wrecks from hell.
Very uncomfortable and extremely confusing.

I just felt like my brain was completely fried, nothing in the world would make any sense - ever...

Then I smoked DMT, and found a new calling.

With friends like satan... who needs enemies. Glad you were ok.

This is why these substances are illegal, because of people like your "friend" Satan. I would of just ordered a new beer after seeing him smile like that...I just dont trust people though so that may be just me. Heard to many stories just like this one to trust my beverages to anyone I am not really close to.

With that said, I am glad you are ok. Its never a good idea to do this to someone, and your lucky that you came out of it without any serious mental harm, or for that matter, physical harm. Thank god for your co-worker.

Thanks everyone for your concern, and I too am glad this only happened to me and not my coworker. And you say you have heard of this before? All I have ever heard of is people like accidentally drinking spiked beer at a party or something, where other people realized the mistake right away,and even had time to prepare them for what was about to happen. This was more like a mental attack. I cant imagine why Satan or anyone would have any reason to do this to someone.I'm glad this memory was forgotten for a time, because since I have remembered it I have been actually quite upset.... This is a horrible story and I hope your asshole ex-friend gets what's coming to him. Dosing people against their will is equivalent to rape.



I am surprised that a tox screen can detect LSD. Can anyone who works in healthcare confirm that this is possible?

Yes,
you can detect LSD during a tox screen if you wanted to, though it is unconventional.
Since LSD is rare, it is not on any standardized test.

I know people like this as well, and its a shame that they even exist...I know that sounds harsh but the things they do to people are just not ok.

Wow, that's horrible. The Title lead me to believe that you accidentally took too much, but people who spike others are the scum of the earth. Sorry you had to go through this man.

I really thought your thread was going to be similar to an experience I had... I once accidentally on purpose drank a 1/4 vile of acid. (i thought it was going to drop out, not pour) It ended up being the most profound Wednesday night of my life. A tad overwhelming, and I did lock myself in a bathroom for 3 hours, while I screamed at myself in the mirror, but yeah, it ended up being pretty cool.

Hope you haven't decided not to try acid again.

A friend took acid from a stranger and headed out in the rain. He ended up in the hospital strapped down. They gave him black sirup liquid to drink. He said he saw the nurses and his aunt looking over him. They were speaking to him with very high voices, within seconds the sirup took effect and the voices went from high to normal. ((((((AAAAaaaare))))))) you feeling ok?

The black sirup is supposibly liquid charcoal. I think it is a common practice with stomach poisoning of chemicals, as it obsorbs what is in the stomach rather quickly.

People think dosing others as a joke is funny. It's not!

My teacher got LSD in his coffee, he left school early. He never had coffee at school again.
