Movies I Like: A Man From Earth - If you haven't seen this, you have to watch it. 87 minutes of brilliant conversation in one room. American History X Blow Butterfly Effect Donnie Darko Boondock Saints Dogma Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Fight Club Kickboxer 2 Primer - Small budget film about time travel. (Budget was $7000). Very interesting take on time travel. Requiem For A Dream - Similar to trainspotting but better in my opinion. Trainspotting The Truman Show Twelve Monkeys V for Vendetta I think the other movies I didn't write a description for are better known so there was no need. Also I would REALLY recommend the 3 movies that I described. Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. Anything by Fellini (8 1/2, La Strada, Nights of Cabiria, Juliet of the Spirits in particular - but they are all just fucking great...)

i've had a quick read through here and there are some good films listed, and some others i wanna check out. sorry if i missed it in someone elses post but i cannot recomend enough: Adaptation. the 'sequel' to "being john malkovich" (which i thought was an average film). but adaptation is one...crazy film. the book featured in it is real. i post on behalf of a good friend.

Man from Earth is a GREAT movie. I was thoroughly intrigued the whole time. I think has really was what he said he was.

Which version? The only one I've liked so far is Alice, a 1988 version from Czech director Jan Svankmajer. It's the only version bizarre enough to match the book. The book has all movies beat, but I'm hoping the new one coming out is good, Tim Burton's good at strange movies. another scene

The new alice in wonderland is a completely different story. I actually quite like the disney version. Especially the walrus and the carpenter.

I watched a film called 'cube 2 hypercube' recently, enjoyable! The greatest film for me has to be 'Groundhog Day'... I wish Bill Murray was my dad lol. Big fan of all the Richard Prior and Gene Wilder classics as well. "accept the possibility that you may never come back, then your mind is truly open."

well requiem is a great film! SPOILER: sure it seems the 'moral' at the end is that every drug user will get screwed, but you can also take it without the 'moral', and just take it that THOSE characters got screwed, and it was a well made film and it has nothing to do with you  btw, a lot of great recommendations you guys gave, a lot of my favourite films that I forgot to list were already mentioned.. its good because then I know I can check the other suggested films and will probably be of my taste keep them coming !
