Without going into too much detail, I'd still like to record here that you're looking as much for core stability as core strength.

With any luck I'll explain some more in the coming week Very happy

This is actually a good point as well.

Doing band work for hips can help a lot with this. Same with many of the stabilization exercises that BDP mentioned. Active core engagement can help as well. Tightening your core by breathing in deep and contracting the muscles for minimum of 20 seconds can provide short-term relief and aid in strengthening, activation, and stability.

Ohh thanks, DF0! I had a good chuckle at this. I'll add it to my motivational playlist. This and "the eye of the tiger" should do the trick Laughing

I am looking forward to you elaborating on core stability.

Sorry for the lack of response in this area; I hope you're in good shape.

The more I've thought about it, the more it seems that having at least a one-off personal instruction session would be of benefit, if only because that's how I learnt it and finding some decent videos would be a stretch, so to speak, not least because I'm way too easily distracted (yeah, OK, my self-discipline is terrible if you want to put it another way!)

So, for a start, some things to look into would include:
pelvic floor exercises
alternating leg lifts
abdominal crunches in combination with one or both of the preceding

These exercises are Pilates-based. One thing that is crucial is that you pull your abs inwards in this type of exercise. This ensures that you engage the correct muscle groups for core stability; if you allow your abs to bulge outwards this is incorrect.

My partner has a ton of good Pilates floor exercises for this but again, none of it as online resources (we are so old-fashioned, it seems Laughing ) but again she emphasises, these exercise must be done correctly which brings me back to my original point about instruction. Pull that belly in!

Hey DF0, thanks again for your input! I will definitely keep in mind to pull that belly in Big grin .

I will take a look into these exercises. The personal instruction seems like a good idea. It's
good that my mom is a physiotherapist, so she can help in that regard.
In the meanwhile I made good progress. I made it a habit to swim everyday, do planks and pushups and I realized that sitting in certain ways has a huge impact on my backs wellbeing. Overall this problem has become very manageable and I am quite happy about that Smile.

This makes me happy to hear. I'm decently passionate about fitness and physical function. It just feels good to see and hear about others' progress (likely why I used to be a trainer).

Personal instruction can be a game changer when dealing with the hip complex and core. So much referred issues from a single source can occur.

I hope you keep making progress.

Thank you Void Smile, I will definitely keep up this new routine. So far in life I have observed that there's always a positive side to negative aspects even if it's difficult to see the good at times. I know the pain will come back if I won't continue to do my daily exercises, so in a curious way the pain is my own personal trainer who gives me a hard time in case I should get lazy.

Also just on the side, the psychedelic experience is so much more enjoyable now (next to all the other things that are more enjoyable of course).
