Greeting Nexians,
I've been wondering lately about how psychedelics (primarily DMT) alter your personality, and if these experiences have made you more attractive to the opposite sex. Of course, it depends on who you are fundamentally, and the people you're trying to attract into your life, but do you think it has any significant impact?
I've come to notice that we tend to attract the same type of energies that we externalize on a day to day basis. Although psychedelics have made me somewhat more reclusive and introspective, I've noticed that I've gained somewhat of an attractive essence when it comes to particular women. I think it's the more conscious, deeply-thinking aspect of my personality that's been accentuated through my psychedelic practice that women find more intriguing. Perhaps knowing and exploring the "other side" has tweaked my baseline perspective to one with less dissonance, therefore attracting complimentary attention? Who knows
A bit of a random thought, but I'm interested to hear some other people's experiences and thoughts on the subject. How have psychedelics affected your love life?

Women used to use belladonna to make themselves beautiful, because it dilates the pupils, and that is how it got its name.

A friend of mine and really beautiful woman looked into my eyes one night a couple weeks back as I met up with her and a group of friends for dinner and said something like "wow you have a really great glow about you right now"... I chose not to tell anyone about the very low dose of cubensis I had consumed just prior to arriving. Long live the unwoke.

I don't think anything could make me attractive to guys unless their standards were super low. I think LSD has made me more giggly and less cynical which probably help.

I can say that one day when I went to the grocery store the day after doing....an ACRB/Caapi brew? Think that was it....I was in a very open, expressive, clear and carefree state. Confident, zero stress and tension, etc. I made a very unusual amount of connections with the other sex. The attraction seemed magnetic and pulled attention toward it immediately and effortlessly...and they seemed excited by it! And I was just in excitement with life. It was great and I could feel a beam of connection with them.
There have been other similar situations, but that was probably the most intense one.
I'm pretty sure I've experienced an increase in confidence and self assuredness and decreases in stress, tension, nervousness, etc from all psychedelics I've tried. Not every time, but any time that whatever the substance may be wipes all my 'stuff' away for a while - and I'm free and open.*
That's a big thing in interacting with people in general, including the opposite sex - resulting in stronger attraction and more connections.
*(until I pick up my old programs again and continue running them.....working on that..)

Quote:Can psychedelics make you more attractive? This can be quite true when the opposite male or female enjoys it as much as you do, and the experience is shared together in unison. Utilizing and co-existing a relationship with entheogens and a partner is quite unlike anything else. I've had a lot of wild psychedelic rides with my lady and becoming intertwined with the experience and with her at the same time is beyond words. Beyond comprehension. I felt we were both more beautiful in those moments even if we were the only ones to see it... especially since we were the only ones to see it. New to The Nexus? But doesn't OP mean in general, all the time? From my experience, women are able to look past general physical attractiveness and see something else that isn't so tangible. I know for a fact that if were all about looks, I'd have led a very lonely life, but the fact is is that I've been blessed in my life with sharing the company of some very beautiful women. I'm getting a little better in my late years at seeing the intangibles in women, as I've been through some pretty crappy relationships of late-with beautiful women, but ones that i fished from a pretty limited m polluted sea and who saw in me only a resource. I also know that the confidence i tend to put off when involved with a woman, especially at the oxytocin fueled beginnings, is attractive, and as frustrating and cruel as that may be, it's not about the women, it's about me. Since my last trip a few weeks ago, which i posted an incredibly long essay on in my thread about it, i encountered a paradigm shift in my thinking, realizing that I'd been defining myself by what i lack, and because that is the way i had been meeting reality, it's what i expected and it's what i got. Nothing, a whole bunch of it. Since then, i literally raised my thinking up and out of the rut it had uncomfortably grooving in for some time, putting into action positive steps to increase my... well, everything. And it's working. There is some kind of funk in my walk and a gleam in my one good eye that seems to be attracting females in a way that i haven't in a long time. And it's cool, I'm enjoying this, and pushing at the boundaries of this new consciousness, stretching it carefully to see what it can include. So yeah, OP, that's why i first just posted But you know, the most important thing is " all the woman really wants, is you can give her something too- it ain't easy " david bowie Sine experientia nihil sufficienter sciri potest -Roger Bacon *γνῶθι σεαυτόν*

There's inner beauty seen within both sexes.. it is attracting. I feel that is where a lot of enhancement comes from psychedelics. However, if there's no beauty seen within oneself, it'll be as hard as hell to see it in others. Another valid reason for psychedelic therapy. We all reflect each other vividly and subtly. 'What's going to happen?' 'Something wonderful.'

Psychs have given me a greater level of self-awareness which I think definitely helps. However they have also made me question the whole idea of "courting," and sometimes I feel a lower motivation to pursue random connections with women in public. My desires have been refined, and I would rather be with a spiritual woman rather than a hot one I simply meet at the bar. However, for the question, I really have to say that higher self-confidence (including great eye contact), more self-awareness, being super nice to people, and not giving a f**k about where things go really does help with dating. These have all been results of psychedelic use in my experience. Being able to have a more-objective view of myself and my looks forces me to consider my outer-projection and presence a lot. Sensing subtle emotional shifts and being able to measure your responses also offer a degree of attractiveness. So the sensitivity that drugs have provided me has helped tremendously as well. I feel like most guys want the hot women. Do ugly women have a chance too? Can good personalities shine through an undesirable physical appearance?

Always I'd like to think there are people who don't just rely on looks. I think guys tend to only want pretty women. I know it is sexist to think and an over-generalization. I get this impression from movies and also life in general. Maybe it is because I am in my early 20's, but I hear guys talk about girls as it relates to how hot they are like that's all that matters. I hope there are people who aren't as superficial and that psychedelics can help people judge less by physical appearances.

I went through that stage as a young adult in my 20s, when I look back on my attitudes towards women/men I realised that I was like a fisherman. Always wanting to catch the biggest, best looking fish and enjoying the subsequent bragging rights. But then after a while I would try and converse with my fish. And all I got back was. Bloop....bloop. So my tastes in sea creatures widened. Crustacea, giant squids, the majestic but clumsy at the same time seahorse. Even a walrus. But when I tried to converse all I got was the same. Bloop....bloop. Hmmmm..... What was I to do? Obviously the same thing right? And that I did. For a long time. Until an orca came swimming into my waters. And instead of falling prey to all my lures and bait, she questioned each and every one of them. Challenging me. She was neurotic, vulnerable and strong at the same time, she could hold conversation for hours and hours. I realised that my angling efforts were naive, albeit satisfying at the time but dreadfully one dimensional. Now I play with a hyper dimensional octopi. With all manner of quirks and failings that all add up to beauty. Hope that helps Inconsistency is in my nature. The simple PHYLLODE tekI'm just waiting for these bloody plants to grow

This is what has happened ime numerous times; especially after taken various oral DMT brews. Afterwards when im down, especially the morning after; say if I go to the grocery store or market - running into anyone is a breeze and the feelings/knowings that im instilled with and carry with me - people recognize it immediately. Some inherent quality or social/interactive cue/s that are immediately perceptible by nearly anyone that comes into contact with me; even from a distance. Not sure what is going on or is happening, but the handful of times that i've went places the morning after having a moving experience - whether from mushrooms, ayahuasca, w/e - there's always been this lingering 'something' that is easily recognizable by anyone that brushes past. If I look these people in the eyes I can notice something I think - somehow they can't help but get picked up in the wake of how im feeling - even if they don't immediately understand or can contemplate what it is that they're feeling or is happening - it's happening nonetheless and they are moved by it; to some degree - and in that - the interaction between us becomes infinitely smoother/more beautiful in many different ways. It's really hard to explain and it probably sounds crazy, but this has happened several times. The things is though - if you don't continue to embody these feelings and modalities of carrying yourself - both internally and externally - they just end up falling off to the wayside and they become a distant memory - just like the experience you had the night before. You return to your same old self, more or less. I've never been successful in carrying all this over consistently and permanently, so I really wouldn't know; but id like to think that it's possible.
