Somebody has been cutting up trees on public land, this kind of irresponsible harvesting is bad attention for dmt and completely unnecessary. Anyone harvesting bark should find wild trees or grow their own. Also taking the weak trunk bark can kill the tree. Whoever did this doesn't deserve to be extracting spice. http://www.hawaiinewsnow...hy-is-stumping-everyone/

How desperate do you have to be to go in to what looks like widely used public place and do that? Dont they grow in the wild there? How sketchy would you that feel doing that? Id be worried as heck! Surely there are alternatives like ordering in ACRB in to hawaii? or even sourcing it locally via the web?
I saw recent information that said that as long as the tree isn't stripped all the way around it can still supply nutrients down to root cells by the phloem (bark). However like the article said it can pose risks to infection and water loss. Confusa is tricky because the leaves are so high up... still doing something so obvious as this is either a cause of desperation (spiritual or otherwise) or just basic carelessness. The former is somewhat forgivable, the latter not so much.

Probably for commercial purposes. Someone wants to produce large amounts of DMT and sell it.

Waaw, mega lame. Those trees are incredibly beautiful. If your looking for connection to the spirit world why not sit beneath and contemplate/communicate with nature instead... It really saddens me when something like this happens and quite likely because of all the hype around DMT lately. I hope a good hyper slap is on their way. Or at-least they see their error.

Acacia is also being used in chinese medicine. Just like the testicles of tigers an the horn of rhino's. People who kill endangered animals for some cash, will not lose a second of sleep over a tree.

Quote:"We're trying to grow our tree inventory," he said. "We're trying to increase our urban shade cover. We're trying to get more trees planted in the ground. This is really a step in the wrong direction." Frog bless those Hawaiian park officials, they get it. Fortunately trees are a renewable resource and we can overgrow the idiots. We got a lot of work yet to do, we better get to it. Spring is just around the corner for all of us up north. Now might be a good time to peruse the Sustainable plant and seed suppliers subforum.
