Anyone familiar with Spectral Music ? it's a practice where compositional decisions are often informed by the analysis of sound spectra ( Right out of wikipediia ).One of the founders of Spectral Music was Gérard Grisey, here is a piece, composed by him that i think some of you will like.

When this song kicks in at the 2:00 min mark it reminds me of the almost technological feel i get in hyperspace.Like the machinery of the universe in the process of creation.Very happy

DMTripper is a fictional character therefore everything he says here must be fiction.

I don't know if I would say these reflect hyperspace or not, but following are several of my very favorite jams to implode to:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmmHl9arQWI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNDXhV6uKdU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96ju7754pXU

http://www.youtube.com/w...0m2A&feature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee58iv63M2A

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nYn9kxMIjU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV74PsUo1dc

The first two, especially - they are both from the soundtrack to The Mahabarata. My hyperplace often seems very rich in Hindu flavored imagery (go figure), so this music really helps me push the envelope. I've been so deep with both of them so many times that sometimes when I hear em, I get a little bit weak in the knees. Same with the piece from Sunshine - damn near makes me hyperventilate everytime I hear it.

With regard to classical, Rachmaninoff is great for sure. Bach too just can't be beat.

And I love Kodaly as well.

Glad you liked it, Some of my first acid experiences were while listening to that from my friends self built audiophile system... incredible trip, complete ego death and rebirthSmile

You might like this acoustic performance; can anyone guess the performers?

have you ever taken that ferry from San Francisco to Berkeley and looked back and seen that while in Berkeley, San Francisco doesn't exist?

FSOL create the craziest worlds with their music, Lifeforms has been blowing me away consistently for years. I don’t think I could ever get bored of hearing it.

How can anyone not have heard of anything so mindblowing!

I haven't seen anyone mentioning NASA's Voyager recordings anywhere on the Nexus. This is a bit strange as they are a trip in themselves. I love putting on my "mindfold" and just float away. With some psychedelics they are simply incredible.

There is the older "symphonies of the planets vol. 1-5" but i can't find them on Youtube. There are torrents about on the usual file sharing sites. There are also some other recordings available on amazon.

I did find a clip on youtube that shows what they are about...
