Hi Everyone,

This is one I've been waiting for, for a long long time.
Paul Stamets on Joe Rogan's show, 2h13 uncut.
I think this is the one Joe Rogan where his guest gets to speak more than he does himself!
No offence to Joe, but sometimes he cuts off his guests too early, but I still love his show nonetheless.

Paul Stamets on Joe Rogan

Enjoy!

Nice one! Thumbs up Good share and such a great podcast. Paul just explains everything so fluently and organically.
'What's going to happen?' 'Something wonderful.'

Skip the manual, now, where's the master switch?

His writings are amazing, I think his and Rumi's are my favourite. And Blake of course Smile

Great podcast, fascinating stuff although some of his speculation seemed
a bit far fetched but to be fair to him he made it clear he was just putting ideas out there.

I really love this guy. Everyone really needs to hear this stuff because he so eloquently lays out how important these things are for not only our environment; but our economic, cultural and social structures, and our personal welfare as well.

This is one of the things I love about Stamets. He clearly defines in which domain he's speaking; scientific, hypothetical, speculative, etc. Thumbs up Not just in his writing but in his speech as well.

I agree, I really love the way he openly speaks about his psilocybin experiences and how he dares to speculate on the role and importance of the fungi world, while always respecting the science that is going on.

Hey thanks Elpo Smile

Rumi and Gibran, two of my favorites; had their finger on the pulse.

Blake I should check out. Thumbs up

[sorry to derail] Cheers!

** Also, stamets mushroom story along with how it had fixed his life-long stuttering; tugged on some heart strings. A beautiful experience. Thumbs up

Wow, that's an interesting guy. I especially liked that part where he talks about cellular intelligence.

Yeah, blown away by his knowledge and just how much information he's able to spit out with ease, truly passionate.

Passion like that is always exciting to me.

To add about the stuttering issue he'd had in his younger years - I really thought his explanation of that was interesting and how he seemed to run things through his mind which had led to causing him to stutter; something along the lines of 'him being several sentences ahead in his head - and in that aspect I can definitely relate.

At least one of the writers on the new Star Trek Discovery series knows how cool Paul Stamets is because they named one of their main characters after him. Actor Anthony Rapp plays the role of Paul Stamets on Star Trek who is involved with the creation and implementation of a new type of travel that is based on a "Spore Drive" that travels on the Mycelium network that the Universe is built upon. Once they get it up and running (in the show) the spaceship can literally beam itself instantly to anywhere in the Universe.
Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.
โ€” Terence McKenna

All my posts are hypothetical and for educational/entertainment purposes, and are not an endorsement of said activities. SWIM (a fictional character based on other people) either obtained a license for said activity, did said activity where it is legal to do so, or as in most cases the activity is completely fictional.

It's actually very hard to believe the someone who used to stutter that badly now is able to explain these kind of things with ease. I mean sometimes I need to play back certain parts, cause it's so much info in there. And I have probably seen all of his talks on YouTube... Really extraordinary.

About the Star trek, he talks about that towards the end of the interview.
The writers actually contacted him for advice.

Tha way he ends it is also very interesting, with a psilocybin story and a quote which could've easily been from McKenna: "reality is not limited to the perception that we have traditionally used"

Paul's got mad heart, and a very original thinker too! A lot of weird coincidences he's been having, guess they happen in real life too when you follow your <3

I've been unable to make up my mind, whether I am ready for psychonaut sessions, or not yet. After listening to Paul Stamets on Joe Rogan's, I've nearly in autopilot mode purchased morning glory, salvia, mushrooms, iboga and anahusca ingredients. Well worth a listen! Extremely inspirational.
