Are we allowed box sets or compilations of our own making? what is the topography of the island? How big is it? Is there a decent source of fresh water? What about the flora and fauna? What will the weather be like? Is it near a shipping lane or flightpath?

Small desert island, not a lot of vegetation, there is a fresh water spring, coconut trees, plenty of seafood, and small game for subsistence. No ships or planes, no hope of rescue. Fortunately psilocybe's do grow wild out of the herbivore dung and you did have the foresight to put a few cannabis seeds in your pocket before your three hour tour.

I don't plan on being rescued. 10 years is 10 years is 10 years. My reason for asking about shipping lanes is because it would have opened up the possibility of some good quality beachcombing. Maybe even a shipping container turning up that i could have somehow transported up the beach and converted into a dwelling. If there are just a few coconut trees i would need to leave them in place. I don't want to replicate the mistakes that may have been made on easter island. The sight of a plane passing over in the distance would be an entertaining event. "ah! There goes the 10am pan am flight from Darwin to Mumbai!" As far as box sets and homemade compilations go, i have made my choice. Like all the choices that i have made in life, good or bad, i will have to stick with and accept it. Although i would have liked the RDJ album and a bit of pink floyd for nostalgias sake. And the led zeppelin royal albert hall album wouldve been nice. I was just asking for members that hadn't answered yet. The commercial availability of art brings into question albums released for free by people that don't have record deals, via soundcloud or bandcamp etc. And knowing what the weather would be like would influence what format i would choose for the music I am a bit concerned about the lack of vegetation/small game/herbivore dung/mushroom equation. I think that there will have to be some kind thoughtful ecosystem management going on during my stay. I am probably being a finicky pain in the backside but i used to listen to a show called desert island discs on the radio and, aswell as the choice of what music to take, certain subjects relating to practicality and the philosophy of survival were aslo brought up.

I won't be needing a copy as, due to my anticipation and subsequent preparation for the apocalyptic decline of western civilisation, i have been watching Bear Grylls type survival programs for the last 20 years...... Here's another use for the island's herbivore dung.....

Yeah, there's nothing like watching survival programs with a big bag of chips and a nice cup of tea.

I prefer watching them with a bag of chips and a cold can of coca cola. I find that the taste of ready salted crisps and coke compliment each other in the same way as some kinds of cheeses and red wines.
