Well I think it might be a bit too personal for most people, and can also get kinda divisive. I remember the last "sex" topic I read was trolled into oblivion by our awesome Loph abbess Annie. Razz

If we're talking "philosophy of sexuality", like sexual ethics, states of mind and sexuality, etc., it might be an interesting topic, but far too personal for a lot of people for a calm discussion, so I'd steer clear, as I also steer clear of any Donald topics...

If we're talking practice and pillow talk, I think it might be better to find a sexuality-oriented online community, and find or create a psychedelic subforum there... Beside, this area is also kinda controversial, with the whole "statutory rape" thing...

I agree that we dont need a sub forum for it, but i think it should be (and pretty much already is) addressed with maturity when sex is brought up.

We all came from sex, and almost everyone has or has had sex, so it shouldnt be such a touchy subject lol. Its not really that personal, and if it is too personal for someone to discuss, they could like you say, just steer clear of it.

from a lawyerly perspective sexuality does have a place in the health and lifestyles forum. Because sex is one of those things that does have a place in the psychedelic lifestyle. Just like there is discussion on yoga and meditation there should be some on sex.

You have never been apart from me. You can never depart and never return, for we are continuous, indistinguishable. We are eternal forever

I'm going to agree with OP here. Sure sexuality can fit into health and lifestyle, methods of exploring consciousness, and others but there is a cultural stigma that might limit full exploration or mature engagement of the topic on non-focused forums. Sexuality is a psychedelic experience and one of the highest forms of human expression. It is also one of the most vulnerable acts we engage as humans. But let's be honest, how many limiting beliefs do we all hold about sex? How many consciously and subconsciously unhealthy practices do we engage in? It doesn't deserve to be reduced to half-assed discussions by non-committed explorers that just happen to be trolling around the health and lifestyle forum. It is a serious topic that demands its own focus. I would like to see nexians build a sex-positive culture that can develop maturely like the other areas on this site. While i know most of us here intend to approach it maturely when it comes up, there's just no place for us here to really devote our attention to developing that maturity. Whatever you think you've developed in your life just doesn't compare to collective conscience of the nexus. We should be taking advantage of that opportunity to convene on such a topic. There is a poll on the nexus now with a unanimous vote for a new meditation forum and I have to say that is probably a lot less novel or even productive than a sexuality forum would be. I'm surprised to see all the disinterest in this topic. I for one am strongly in favor. I think it is very much in Nexus fashion to honor and explore such a high form of experience as well as provide a healing grounds for those who've struggled with it. In fact i couldn't think of a better place or group of people to establish such an open and respectful ongoing discussion
