these beach animals by the artist/engineer theo jansen are realy awesome. I would love to see them at night, covered with LED's or equipped with LASERS.
They would probably do great at places like burning man. maybe with a sound system attached to it. All powered by the wind.

Saw them in Boston last year - it was pretty cool to see them gamboling around the Financial District. Really amazing art.
