The insight(s) does not necessarily has to be produced inside the trip, it can come afterwards which people often consider an act of integration. It can work like a slap in the face to wake up, the slap itself is a strange case to study and talk about, but its effects are nevertheless products of high interest.

So I suggest to not focus on the trip alone, but to contemplate the whole package. In that regard I think you did well.

I cannot agree more. With a number of my high-dose acid sessions, I've noticed that the real changes and insights seem to come the morning after, as I contemplate the incomprehensible thing that was the previous night. I've also found low doses taken later to help, if you devote part of that trip to understanding the "message" of past higher doses. For whatever reason DMT (usually oral) has always spoken clearly and in concise words to me, but I could see how integration could still be a bit muddy, and looking back on the peak even more so.

These drugs induce states which simply cannot be reached or understood outside of the context of psychedelia. The human brain in a sober state seems incapable of fundamentally understanding the products of high doses.

Hi,
Your post really caught my attention because you describe almost exactly what I experienced earlier this year. It was the one and only time...so far...that I have been into hyperspace. I have vaped sub-breakthrough doses on several occasions since, but it's not in the same ball park. To be honest, I simply haven't been brave enough yet. I posted about the experience at the time and got some good advice, particularly to do with remembering things from the trip, and bringing back things from hyperspace. For me, the change in my life has been profound, and lasting. I'd say it's helped me understand mortality, my own in particular. I firmly believe that what DMT does is allow a temporary passage or transition across dimensions...physical to non-physical. It gives temporary access to the broader aspect of the universe: the universe in which the larger aspect of each and every one of us inhabit.
I still don't truly comprehend this. I guess it does take time for the DMT experience to unravel, for you to properly integrate it into your "real" life.
Thanks for sharing your experience, I must say, it tallied perfectly with what I experienced. Utter confusion. Complete terror. But the after effects....WOW...Very happy
Peace X
