Greetings!!

I like to use Q21Q21's jimjam tek with some small modifications to my extractions, so I did the following: 500g of pre-powdered MHRB were mixed with 650 ml of vinegar (I used more than 500 ml because I can only find 4% vinegar) and 350 ml of hot water. I agitated it a lot and left for 4 hours. Then I added 450g of lye, agitated it and left for another 4 hours, until it cooled down. I then added 500 ml of limonene and let it sit until today (something around 55 hours). I procedeed to the final acidification step, separated the limo from the bark and added around 300 ml of vinegar, mixed it in for a bit, separated the vinegar and left it to evaporate.
The evaporation is almost done and I can see my yield was awful, I'd say less than 500 mg of jimjam. I don't think it's the bark, I've bought from this vendor before and I'd get at least 1g of jimjam per 200g of MHRB. Am I doing something wrong?

1) acidification
2) basification
3) pull with non-polar solvent... NPS dissolves the freebased DMT. You want to pull more than once for sure. more like 3-4 good pulls. This is the most important step. separating the alkaloids from the plant matter soup.
4) salting the NPS with an acid, in your case vinegar.

IMO, if you only did one NPS pull it is your weak point. Good thing about limo is you don't evaporate it so you can reuse to pull again and again (after you salt out in step 4). Also, maybe you didnt use enough limonene. Q21 recommends 1.5-2mL per gram of RB so each of your pulls should have been 750-1000mL (which is a lot!). You could remedy this by simply doing more pulls vs. more volume per pull.

Sometimes its better to do small batches

I see...I did another pull today and got 500 mg again, I just have to keep doing that until I have a nice amount of spice? But it doesn't make much sense to me, I figure 500 ml of limonene would be enought to dissolve at least 1g of jimjam, is the solubility that low? I'd use less limonene and get similar results when using 200g of bark.
