So I've noticed it takes an unreasonable amount of time to filter certain things, Syrian rue being one of those things, and really anything else powdered you would want to filter. I learned about using granite when I was trying to filter out really finely powdered kratom to make a resin.
I picked up crushed granite from the tractor supply/feed store in town to feed my chickens to aid in digestion, and it happened to be the same day I was having a lot of trouble filtering my kratom, so I took a handful of crushed granite and put it on top of a handkerchief in my funnel and noticed the handkerchief didn't clog at all then because the granite happened to catch most of the powder on the way through. I have since tried this with ACRB when filtering, and am now using the same technique with Syrian rue for a harmalas extraction. I've never seen anybody else talk of using this technique, and though I'm not completely sure, it doesn't seem like anything potentially harmful could be pulled from the granite, considering it's just granite. If anyone has information suggesting otherwise, please correct me. Hope this can help those of you who can't afford a vacuum pump setup. Crushed granite is like $5 a bag at the feed store.
Much love.
Death is an awakening. . . One day it will come.
But you'll search the skies with your eyes in frantic wonder.
You will come to realize the lies you've told yourself for so long to survive.
"We fear something that does not exist."
Not only does death not exist, we ourselves do not exist.
