This was an artist I met a couple of years ago at an art market in Portland, Oregon. While I was talking to him and admiring his work, we had a great conversation about psychedelics and visionary art. But instead of sharing with you that conversation, I'll just let his art do the talking.

His work is super juicy for sure. As are your bismuth crystals, by the way.

For me, I think they'd be the basis for some amazing animation, but as static art they don't grab me, sorry...there's something about 'faceless' characters which makes them very hard to pull off.

Perhaps compare with something like this, by Remedios Varo, and the human details incorporated into the magical vision:

“I sometimes marvel at how far I’ve come - blissful, even, in the knowledge that I am slowly becoming a well-evolved human being - only to have the illusion shattered by an episode of bad behaviour that contradicts the new and reinforces the old. At these junctures of self-reflection, I ask the question: “are all my years of hard work unraveling before my eyes, or am I just having an episode?” For the sake of personal growth and the pursuit of equanimity, I choose the latter and accept that, on this journey of evolution, I may not encounter just one bad day, but a group of many.”

Thank you very much Art. Yeah I love his stuff. I actually have the print posted (technically its my GFs, but I still get to look at it Big grin .

The picture I put up is called "DMTea Time".

And while I do take credit for the creation of the crystals, well half credit (I only set up the timer and the temperature as well as choose a seed crystal. I can't predict what they look like. Though by varying time and temp I can make the crystallization large or very tiny), I take no credit for the close-ups of the crystals, which my sweetie(TimeGearingBlocks) posted in the ART thread. Those macros, that's all her doing.

It's interesting Chan, the picture you posted doesn't really do it for me. Though I will say I do like the surreal beekeeper motif.

I do like a few of his though. Useless Science or the Alchemist is one I saw that really drew me in, and there was one called The Calling which I liked.

I guess that's how art goes. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

In New York, we wrote the legal number on our arms in marker...To call a lawyer if we were arrested.
In Istanbul, People wrote their blood types on their arms. I hear in Egypt, They just write Their names.

Also that banner is awesome!
