Just want to write up a trip report on my first DMT experience. It was with changa, I was not aware of the concentrations of DMT within the infused herb.

I was a bit nervous before taking it because I wasn't expecting to do it since it was spontaneous thing. I was at a buddy's house and he had a few of his buddies sitting around the couch.

I had a full cone in a bong, as soon as I blew the smoke out everything started to buzz/vibrate and become intense. It made me feel a bit dizzy. For a couple of minutes I was looking around, looking at the ground. My vision started to warp. I looked on the carpet on the floor and it had patches of snickers bar like rectangles that were multi colored and they became fuzzy 3D like and started to race along in a line. After that everything started to become more intense.

As I lay there sitting looking at the ground I can see darkness/blackness slowly creeping up towards me from both sides of my vision, encapsulating everything. It was then that my trip sitter/buddy told me to just lie back down and relax. I think I felt like I was not ready to give in but too late, I felt like I detached just before I could actively participate in the trip but I remember everything fading into darkness.

After that I remember waking up, as soon as I woke up I felt the need to throw up so I immediately let my buddy know and he quickly went and got me a bucket to throw up in. I didn't throw up much but I remember feeling a lot better after doing so. Also after waking up from the trip, I was sweating excessively as if I just ran 3 kms. I was out for about 7-8 minutes apparently.

I felt a slight after-glow, one of warmth like.

I don't know if I did breakthrough due to everything becoming dark but I had no memory of it after I came back. For me I felt like it was quite intense especially the body buzz you get from it.

Do you guys think the ability to remember your dreams affects DMT trip recall? If it does then that would explain a lot since I hardly can recall any dreams due to poor recall ability + MJ use.

Sounds like you had an average DMT trip.

Glad you had the opportunity.

LOL, that's classic DMT. Those crazy hallucinations followed by a vibration that tears reality apart? That sir, is a breakthrough. As you see, you don't always bring something back with you. Sometimes all that you come back with is a feeling. Sometimes the only thing that you remember is the reintegration back to reality at the very end.

Perhaps you were too ambitious (or your friend was intent on blowing your mind) and did too much for a first time. If you take a small amount obviously you will remember everything. When you get to the breakthrough level you may or may not remember much. If you take a monster gorilla hit (which sounds likely based on your description) it's very possible you'll come back gobsmacked but with no recollection.

I've toyed with that theory; I'm sure it's been discussed somewhere else in these hallowed halls.

So did you not even end up with an emotional impact? Every time DMT makes me lose my ego I end up greatly impressed, even if I can't recall what happened.

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Very happy

Careful with that dosage, Eugene! Wink Wink

DMT is a mystery and as the others have said, sometimes it is quite hard to recall what has happened. I think part of this is due to the strange and alien quality of the visions. We are not exactly used to seeing things of that nature therefore it fades from our memory quite quickly with a "who what where huh?." But that is just one man's speculation...

The key is repetition. The more you go to hyperspace, the more familiar it starts to feel. Don't get me wrong though, DMT is the nature of change and likes to mix things up. In fact, any time I start thinking, "oh okay, I think I see now..." it throws me a huge curveball and I am left speechless all over again. But that is the beauty behind it.

As with anything, it takes practice, patience, and some getting used to. Good luck on future endeavors and thank you for sharing!

Smile

I think he also didn't know what the concentration was, but you're right about him wanting to blow my mind haha Laughing

I'll give it a search.

I feel like DMT had an impact on me wanting to be more humble after that trip.

Thank you for your kind words Very happy

I did not know that not being able to remember what happened during hyperspace is a common phenomena. But it makes sense that repetition would increase recall. I feel like DMT is starkly similar to dreaming. I guess with more scientific research we will eventually find the source of correlation.

I think it's fascinating that some remember their experiences to a better degree than others. I also think it's interesting how someone can not remember 'anything' while being under, such as the OP.

Thanks for the report Jameson. Definitely sounds like DMT. While you were under for those few minutes can you recall anything at all? Just literal blackness?

Reason I ask is because of this quote below:

Humility is what it's all about. If you venture into hyperspace with the attitude of "I'm a tough guy, I can take it!" you won't get anywhere. Even if you are clinging to a vestige of your pride, you'll find it difficult to pass the gateway.

"Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven!" So become as little children, and behold the awesome and unending bliss.

No I could not recall anything. I might have remembered something upon waking but I must have lost it soon after. What's interesting is I remember the first 2-3 minutes and that's what I've described in the OP.
I was not expecting it to be that intense. For me it felt like smoking 2-3 cones of MJ in one hit.

Yeah definitely. Since it was so spontaneous, I remember before going into the trip I was feeling a bit nervous but I told myself to just relax and let the trip do its thing. I wasn't expecting it to be that intense though, I can understand how a lot of people are able to handle it while some people definitely would not be able to. But I feel like it can be very subjective.
